Re: EBAY UK PASO 906 (904!!) REAL RARE COLOUR???
CB,
Boy no matter where you are from, wife's appear to be the same. I guess they all come from the same mold.
Monday night is motorcycle night on TV. (about the only night I watch tv) On Twist of the Throttle they covered MV Agusta and the making of the F4. Now normally I get major grief from the wife for watching the bike shows.
But last night she was quite and appeared to be listening to the show.
The show went into great detail about how much time and personal attention goes into the making of each bike and how much design effort Tamburini spends with the bikes etc etc,
My wife turned to me and said "How much for this bike?" I told her last years model went for $25,000. She said with all the effort that goes into the bike that is not that much money, How do they make a profit?
(Even though my wife rides her own Piaggio, she has no concept on how much the bikes cost.)
I told her that a Honda sports bike goes for around $10,000 and a 848 Ducati goes for around $13,500 so you are paying for this custom made bike.
Well I knew better than to say well if you feel this way lets go buy an F4. (bait the hook and run)
So I said I would be just tickled pink to pick up a used Ducati for around $5000.
Her comment to me was, You already have a Ducati, Why would you want another one. I told her that the one I wanted rides much differently etc, etc.
I got rolling of the eyes from the wife.
Joe

Francesco I would love to return to Italy. Surprised I didn't see many bikes while I was there - lots of scooters! I Only saw 1 Ducati between La Spezia and Naples!!!persempre907 wrote: The next time you came to Italy, let me know!

I think I will wait until the road tax trebles soon here in NZ, then buy an RSV when they flood the market and are cheap. That way it will be an "investment"

Yes it is a rare colour because it was a Australasian import . I'm in Melbourne Australasia and I've got a mint condition one in the grey.

You dont need five bikes you need ninev2barn wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:43 am Yes, it is a problem Francesco!! i am very lucky to be able to keep the bikes i have got so to even think about buying another, even a rare grey 906 is just asking for trouble from she that says, "why do you need five bikes when you can only ride one" if anyone can think of an answer to that one i would be eternally grateful![]()
Hey Higgy, nice to know there are some fans of the old bevel drives on the list (Bevelheads??)![]()

Cheers to allJon
The reason best explained as below
Monday. Triumph Trident T150T
Tuesday Douglas T35 (mark)
Wednesday BSA A65 1976
Thursday Douglas T35 mark4
Friday Paso 906 ( its grey!)
Saturday Triumph BonnevilleT110
Sunday Douglas T35 mark5
Spare bikes in case any of the above need anything, Royal enfield bullet, BMW R1150rt
You also need a couple of projects in the shed to keep you busy, one to work on and the other waiting for bits
