You can paint your headers yourself with hi-heat paint and bake them in an oven, which works pretty good for many people.
Or, you can go the new high tech way, ceramic coating.
Here is one company doing it. A lot more durable and higher performance.

Of course its more expensive, but nice.
A friend of mine did it to his brand new 1098 headers before he had them installed. Looks nice, cuts down in the heat.

I didnt even rebuild my rear shock , just stripped and cleaned and reassembled using new shock oil , made a big difference .
Have you tried using a water blaster to clean parts ( or put them in the dishwasher .
... dont get caught doing this , take it from me , it aint worth it !) ? I used cheap aerosol degreaser and the water blaster hooked up to hot water ( parts dry faster) and if you give any rustable parts a dose of wd 40 whilst still wet ..... they wont rust went they dry , and paintstripper will shift the most stubborn stuff , but , depending on the type , dont get it on any anodized aluminium , ( here is the best tip you will ever get ) Tell the wife that to really be considered a ducati owner / pillion she must partisapate at all levels...... not just plonk her ass on the back after all the work is done ( they are real good at the fiddly stuff )

I need the following items. Looking to save $$$.
1. 1 Pin for rear caliper (holds pads in place) Had 1 missing. Anyone got an extra one?
2. 1 Rear rotar bolt (1 Stripped out)
3. Rear brake pads (used are okay for now)
4. Right Side mirror assembly
5. Rubber for 1 foot peg.
6. Clutch Lever assembly
All else is on hold till I go back to work.

if you can work with glasfibre this one here would be an option as it wasn`t sold.
The lens can still be found at your Duc dealer for little money.

Due to the weather the past 2 weeks I have not gotten much done, but here's a few images from the last time we were together in the shed..
Side stand cleaned up and reinstalled.

Rear rotar cleaned up very well, after a long soaking.

Tubes shined up nicely

Rear tire cleaned up and put back together

Exhaust clamps came out nice.

Carbs starting to get cleaned

Snow here, so I had to shovel a path to the shed.

Lots of rust and grease. Soaking parts in Vinegar/Baking Soda combo doing quite well and inexpensive.
