906 dies after sustained throttle

Post by arit »

Like its run out of gas, restarts soon after. Fuel filter tank vacuum lines all clear and clean and new pump. It is missing the proper Y connector with the jet to regulate fuel back to tank. Where can I get one from or can anyone recommend an alternative solution?

You dont need a jet in the return line , just make the return line about 2-3 feet long and the line itself will provide enough restriction . Sounds like most of the fuel is going back to the tank and not enough to the carb so your on the right track 🙂
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

The fuel pumps always runs, as soon as the ignition is on. The jet in the return line is a 120 Dell Orto main jet, as shown in the 906 parts catalog.
Does the engine stall when it's still at higher rpm or at idle? If it's the latter I'd also check the ignition system and the voltage at the coils.
