907IE Oil Level Question

Hi Guys, I am sorry to ask this question again, but I am refilling the bike with Engine oil, and the manual I have states to fill the oil to Max line. On my 907IE this mark is the lower mark on the side glass. Every motorcycle I have had in the past, you would fill the oil level in between the two marks on the side case. Is this what I should do? Or just fill to the lower Crank mark that says MAX. I put three quarts in her. I just want to make sure it is o.k. to go to the middle of the glass. The owners manual says 3.5 Litres which is 3.6 Quarts by my calculations. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

On the 907 you meant to fill to the bottom marker, but if you go up to half way on the glass it will be ok

My oil level is midway between bottom and top marks, not a big deal.

I don't know why the 907 has the max oil level at the bottom line.
But, they have always taught me do not trespass the max level.
So, I do so...
