Hi
What cans are you riding with?
I ride with open, golf ball roll thru types and K&N filter, and I can recommend the below. This is what I have fitted, and it is ok. I would like to fit a fuel regulator. This should also help. *=changed

Choke:36
Ventury: 350
*Main jet: 160 *
Air corrector jet: 170
*Ideling jet: 60 * (65 is to rich)
Air ideling jet: 130
Pump jet: 35
Starting jet: F7/110
Needle valve: 300

Kind regards Klaus

If you fit it under the stock airbox lid you should not have to change anythiing. If you have modified your airbox lid maybe a step up on the idle jet

There's no problem so bad that a little fixing can't make it worse! : )

In terms of this, I must go with your opinion, because all the others does not seems to match.

If the backfiring is on the over-run at lower speeds, and you have no airbox,(just the oval type filter on top of the carby),it is probably one size too large on idles, but this opens a whole new can of worms as you may have to go up a couple of sizes in mains to compensate,or risk creating a lean hole further up the rev range.I know this information is contrary to the traditional, more air flow, must be lean, richen her up approach, but it is based on my experiences with the a similar setup contis/oval k&n/weber.Every time my p750 got backfiring on the overrun,I was rich on idles !
