My Bike is disintegrating

Post by Antzo »

Yesterday as I was coming back from a ride my left mirror fell off. Unfortunately I was not looking at it at the time and I don't have a clue where it landed.
Little by little things on my 907 are dying on me or falling off, I do not know what to say..... :dunno:

your bike is adapting to the greek economy

If you´re lucky you will still find it if you do the same route again. I lost the tools box from my Gilera once as the plastic brackets broke off. When I noticed it was missing I remembered a strange noise on a ride almost a week before. I returned to where I thought it happened and after walking up and down the road I actually found it on the curb :)

hahaha that is a long long story we can discuss it if you like, but we would be off topic... :smoke:

I doubt I will find it as it is the mirror and it will probably be smashed to a thousand pieces by now :,(

Last saturday I lost... the garage keys...
I came back where I thought I could have lost them... and I found them...
Antzo, try coming back to the route.
Perhaps, you will be lucky like me.

Went riding last weekend, heard a little clunk, slowed listened: nothing. Up to speed again, heard another clunk. Bike was running beautifully, so I shrugged the noises off: figured it was 'invisible' road debris. 30 miles later back at the shop, inspect bike, found license plate sitting on top of the swing arm between coils of the Bitubo mono shock. Got lucky. I need to be more careful. This week I seem to have lost a fairing bolt from the front. When I reinstalled the fairing I think I didn't tighten that one quite enough. :smoke:

I have used an old round Renault 4L mirror and it fits perfectly in the housing . Actually it looks better than the original  I will post photos later.

I too had such a problem.
So I put a small wire across the fairing and I tied the mirrors each other
have a nice ride, Nicola
