Got my 907; Ergonomics, Part II
I forgot to add that I can't see much out of the mirrors and if I add the bar risers, I probably won't see anything at all. Are there any options for other mirrors besides bar-end mirrors?

No! There are not any other, only bar end mirrors... Ok, some, but then You have to modifie fairings...
Anyway i think, its little stupid to put some other mirrors, than those, what are designed to Paso. "Not practical, but look great"...Typical Italian....Didnt U "testdrive" her, before U bought her???
That is very well known problem to see "something" from Pasos mirrors. But also something good: U can look Your wifes/girlfriends legs, when driving with her... :laugh:

I've been down this road before (no pun intended) and came to the conclusion that if you want to see what's behind you you'll need to drill and tap the handlebars for bar end mirrors. I've looked at SAENG.com for solutions but in my opinion their mirror products would detract from the 907's looks.
I've gotten into the habit of leaning down and over to see what's behind me and I've also gotten into the habit of riding my 907 early in the morning......before the speed traps have been set. :laugh:

I've learned a bit since my last post. The bike came with a Corbin seat, which is the one I rode 150 miles home on, but the seller also included the stock seat. I put the stock seat on today and it helped both the mirror problem and the cramped legs. The Corbin sits an inch or more lower than stock, and it is much wider, which gets in the way of the mirrors, and reduces the seat to peg distance, forcing the knees to bend further. The stock seat is much better all around.
I still might look at bar end mirrors, but it's too soon to tell. One day I expect I'll have Russell or some other top quality seat maker make a seat for me.

The seller told me that Corbin had 'built up' the passenger pillion for his wife, so perhaps your Corbin is not the same as mine. But it matters not.

Don't put bar end mirrors on a paso. Just take some neck stretching exercises and ride fast.

I love the mirrors. No problem when riding solo and with the stock seat, plus you have nothing sticking out of the sides of the bike. You just have to get used to looking below the bars. If the mirrors will not adjust for you, try popping the pods off, dismantling them and greasing the pivot points inside. Worked wonders for mine!

I've got a '91... I think they changed the seat slightly in '92? In any case, the stock seat on the '91 is horrible. It forced me into the tank, which put pressure on places that don't need pressure, and aggravated an old injury which resulted in me not riding the bike anymore.
This winter I spent the money on Corbin seat. The good news is it doesn't push me up into the tank. The bad news is, as already mentioned, it's too low now, and too wide. It wasn't a complete waste of money but it isn't the complete solution I was looking for. I've only been on the bike for about half an hour at a time, and I thikn if I spent much more than that on it I'd have issues with a pressure point making my leg(s) fall asleep... Next step is sending a stock seat to Sargent's to be reshaped - Not sure I'm ready to spend even more money doing that though.
I must be weird or something, I don't find the mirrors on the 907 to be all THAT bad. Some people don't realize they are adjustable, but I see that's already been mentioned here...
And finally, as ergos go I'd like to be able to adjust the engle of the clip ons. Obviously that's not easy on a 907 but I think changing the angle on them would help a lot. I did that on my 996 and it made a world of difference.
