Re: Control unit does not work

I replaced mine with an ignitech unit when the bike started to run on only one cylinder, advantage of this was it can be programmed, although never felt the need on the paso, just run it with the standard programme, also fitted one to a 06 bonneville, personally can recommend them for service value ...

Instrument panel connector

The warning lights have been playing up, have removed the instrument cluster and disconected the multiplug connectors, found a couple of wires had come loose from the terminals, so am assuming this to be the likely cause. I have spent a couple of fruitless hours searching to find what type of connec...

Sprag starter clutch

Been having trouble with the whirry clonky bit, otherwise known as the sprag clutch, got it out yesterday, no real problems other than massive torque on alternator nut, got a ktm one ordered, was surprised how loose the garter spring on the old one was, so thinking about ordering a spring from an oi...

Re: 1989 750 Sport idle issue

To be perfectly honest here, this is just a wild guess, and probably totally irrelevant to your bike but the 906 pasos have a fuel pressure regulator in the fuel feed to the carb where excess fuel is returned to the tank, does your bike have a similar system fitted, if it does does the regulator wor...

Re: Bad Bearing

That was a rubber sealed bearing, the bearing number was probably moulded into the rubber seal, if you need to identify it you can either use steine dinse or another supplier.

Re: cam pulley

The bore on the pulley has a step worn in it about 0.6 mm fortunately there is no wear I can measure on the camshaft. Can you suggest an adjustable pulley I could use? The 916 pulleys would be free from a mate, well apart from postage or fuel to pick them up.

cam pulley

hi the 906 developed a rattle the other day, got me home and when checked over found the pulley on the vertical cylinder was loose so stripped the head off and found quite a bit of wear on pulley bore however fortunately no measurable wear on bore got a chance of a couple of pulley from a 916, as fa...

Valve shim diameter

Hi ,planning on checking the valve clearances, looking around the web there appears to be 2 different diameter shims that ducati use on different models each size needing different tools to measure and remove shims, so can someone please tell me which size ,7 or 8mm diameter are used on the 906 Thanks

Re: HELP NEEDED Regulator Wires Brown & Pink

Sorry for late reply. I think the coils are normally live when ignition is on ie they have 12volts supplied from the ignition switch , the signal side is tthe earth through the ignition module so if the ecu earth connection is not good or non existent then that could be the cause of your problems

Re: HELP NEEDED Regulator Wires Brown & Pink

small led voltage meters are a cheap and easy fix. I used a charge warning light on mine wrhen I changed the regulator./ Rectifier https://www.google.com/search?q=improving+classic+motorcycles&ei=BNYNY7D-EbGx8gK98ozoDw&oq=improving+classic+motorcycles&gs_lcp=ChNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJw...
