Rough Running 907ie

I just about finished eveything on my 907, but haven't riden much in a while getting it done. I have all the standard upgrades, K&N, Conti Slipons, proper sprocket, etc., but have noticed a vibration from the motor pulling at around 6k rpm. I can't tell if this is normal vibration or a sign of something amiss. Any input as to what I should expect from this bike to be smooth as silk at speed would be helpful.
The tech who tested the bike after a tire instal mentioned he thought the bike ran a little rough, but since it hasn't done 150 miles in the last two years, I don't know whether to chalk it up to being taken off bed rest.
I have just shy of 12k miles and the bike is mechanically sound. Running the stock chip (the Ultimap chip I tried today was, I believe, defective)
No knocks, no ping, everything seems fine otherwise except for the leaing out at speed with the factory chip.
Thanks,
Michael

My 907 comes alive at about 6,000 with no vibration. No idea if its a chip problem, but check your motor mounts to make sure they're not loose and take a look at the spark plugs. that will tell you alot about how the motors running. All the basic stuff, like your battery charge fuel filter, old gas in the tank makes all the difference at running speed.

Thanks, back to the drawing board.
I had sipped and coated the inside of the tank before repainting it,though I don't seem to have a loss of power issue. I am due for belts and a valve adjust and will check the mounts at the same time.
Feels like I'm sitting on a Harley or something. The new Conti's are pretty loud, and I wonder if that could be affecting the feel of the bike with the stock chip.
Thanks again,
Michael

Try search by Google!

Btw, Conti have made at least 2 different style pipes: Those early "trumpet style"(what are best ones) and later 2 to 1 alumium sets. You can see those trumpet style Contis also in many MHR bikes.

I've been trying to get them posted here (pictures), but admin is a little behind.
I am a little biased, but I think they look pretty sweet. THey are certainly loud--set off a few alarms already. Fresh black paint with too much clear coat, black reflective decals that glow in direct headlights, Corbin, Contis, Euro tail light, K&N and a new Ultimat chip that could use a bit of tuning I think.
It's taken a long time to get it together, but with only 11k miles, it should serve for a while.
I also rigged the front (next the rear) marker lights to stay on while running yet flash when in use. A black bike could use a little help, I think.
The decals are black during the day.
Here's a picture:

They ae 2 & 2, slipons of a sort.
The decal material is available at most vinyl shops and in a number od colors. I seriously considered stock, but was leaning more towards the stealth idea. If they have to ask what kind of bike it is . . . .
Thanks for the comments, I am going to install new Denso plugs today to see what they will do. Having just put the thing together, I am not looking forward to a valve adjust and belts; but I'm due.
If you google reflective vinyl, a lot of shops will come up. If someone wants the artwork, I can email it to anyone interested.

If so, those Your 2 to 2 system are much better, than 2 to 1. There have been many problems wit 2 to 1 systems....
