Finally a 907ie owner
Finally a 907ie owner
Hi everyone, I finally purchased a 92 Paso 907ie. It has 36k on it and the PO has no idea when the last service was performed on the bike. He had it for approx 6 years. I guess I have a good amount of things to do before taking it out for a good ride lol.

Hey! Thanks neighbor!
Re: Finally a 907ie owner
Welcome and good on you. I've had one here in Victoria Australia since new. She still talks to me, custom made Staintune pipes. Do the belts and change all fluids are a given. Check the valve clearances, or get it done for you. I have always run some petrol conditioner in my tank to stop any water accumulating in the bottom where it comes to a V. The tanks will rust there eventually if you dont. Fresh oil at regular intervals or anytime you have the fairings off is cheap insurance and will keep these old 2 valvers going for ever. My original one has now done 115,000 plus.
Enjoy a beautiful Italian that is becoming rarer by the day.
Cheers Willo

Re: Finally a 907ie owner
Thank you Willo and Sergio Desmo ! I do plan on doing all of that before I ride it. The previous owner did absolutely no maintenance on the poor bike, not even an oil change in the 7 years he owned it. Of course this was not what I was told prior to buying it. I just hate those long distance purchases lol. For now I'm going thru the board and ordering parts, including the ones you suggested. I want to make sure I know what I'm tearing into when I start taking it apart. I do appreciate all the help and will never turn down advice! I'm a newbie with a Paso. Had an elefant 650SE years ago.and that's the closest thing to a Paso for me. So send all the advice you guys want !! Lol. Thank you again!!
