Re: Custom exhausts
uh ! they look a bit flasher than mine . Were you able to bend most of that up ? . I did mine in the garage at home and its all U bends and donuts cut and welded. I was planning to exhaust wrap parts of it as it gets a bit close to the battery on one side and the brake booster on the other

Re: Custom exhausts
The headers are all 90deg s/s bends and tube welded together, was absolutely sick of them by the time I finished.

Re: Custom exhausts
This is the second set of headers I have made for this donk , 1st were rover V8 / ford escort and I wore out the wire feeder on my Mig , and they were real tight , and 1 3/4" primaries ( sold the car before completion and chucked the headers in the scrap bin )

Reminds me of when I was an apprentice and squeezing a 308 into a LJ Torana, took me a few years to complete that project. I can still hear the old man squawking at me to 'get that friggin car out of my shed'', I guess he didn't appreciate me laying black patches on his concrete floor.

Re: Custom exhausts
Ya I hear that around here as well but its a wife that doesnt understand the beauty of a older musclecar. haha I'm full time college student now and am in auto shop class, currently rebuilding a 1995 Mustang 5.0. Gonna drop the 302 and drop in a 351W out of a F150 truck......it's what the Saleen models came with. Will post pics later if anyone is interested.
