Paso Tires from Golden Tyres

I have been emailing Stefy at Golden Tyres for the past month. Since I saw the post by the Paso guy in CN. I learned that there are twelve tires on a pallet that can be mixed sizes. However, the cost to the U.S. would be about $2,000 for shipping alone. The Golden Tyre office felt that this would not be cost effective so they are having a container shipped to them with the front and rear tires sizes we are all looking for. So for my Paso pals here is the latest info from Stefy that I received on Aug 7, 2012

...
I can tell you that we are going to receive a container mid September and at that point we should be able to fulfill everyone's orders.

The cost of the set is $390 + shipping.

I appreciate yours and everyone patient. We will get it done!

I look forward to stay in touch!

I have not heard from Stephy at Golden Tyres lately and have sent a inquiry as to when the tires will be available. It is September and Stephy said this is the month. As soon as I hear the tires are available, I will post the process of getting them.

Cheers,
Jeff

Well, I looked at the other post (Goldentyre Purchase in USA) and didn't see upated info, didn't know about this post, and called Stefy who fortunately is very polite (so was I). She reiterated the above status, adding that she has recently returned from home office in Italy and that they are working on the shipment. She was hoping to have heard from them today (hadn't) but said she feels that it is imminent.

I did send her my email address so that she knows that a set is spoken for for me. I defer to the ducatipaso.org originator/poobahs of these threads as to how the rest of us should proceed with Stefy in order to present a cogent consortium of buyers that Goldentyre will be motivated and happy to serve.

Here is a DRAFT, FOR-INTERNAL-DISCUSSION-ONLY list of potential customers from the "Goldentyre Purchase in USA" thread with my positive outlook judgement call on yes/maybes. Keep the faith, ye tyreless ones.

For my part, I will not but love them because I get to keep rolling with the original pee wee herman 16s and feel safe as I motor up Dallas' autobahn (the "tollway").

yeah there is certainly something about those little donuts, I put 17's ( SS ) on my 906 and ... well it just doesn't look right , it seems like more than the wheels have changed , Im not saying I dont like it but I do remember one of the things I liked about the bike when I 1st saw one was the wheels , I guess that when Im down to my last set of tires ( and cant get any more ) I will just stop riding it

I fully agree...
I think the same about the 907: she has too big rims, so the 750/906 with 16" wheels looks better.
So, if I would have got a 750/906, I would be more than happy to fit those new tires on stock rims.
