It is my understanding that Brembo no longer sells rebuild kits, since a lawsuit many years ago. At least that's what I found earlier this week when I was looking for one for a Goldline setup (as fitted on the newer Duc's).

I did see that Bevelheaven sold the individual parts, and some rebuild kits that appeared to be off-brand. Give them a call.

It would help if you know the diameter of the piston before you call, unless he's an expert on Paso's. Don't believe that he is.

Clutch or Brake, front or rear?

No, but KTM do. Type=13&A=168&B=12http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com ... A=168&B=12
Seals and pistons are available for the 4 piston brake calipers and for the brake master cylinders. I'm not sure if KTM use a hydraulic clutch on any of their bikes but if there is a brake cylinder with the same diameter it's seals could be used.

Interesting idea, if the piston diameter is the same size. Do you know if it is? If so, which specific model? Usually the piston size is different for 2 caliper setups from 1 caliper setups, so my KTM450 with a single front caliper would likely be smaller than the piston on the Paso. I would expect the same from that 640 Adventure that you linked to, as well, as it's also a single front caliper setup.

My KTM, and most I have worked on, use a Magura clutch. But maybe there are some that used a Brembo?

My personal choice was to toss those stock master cylinders (from both the Paso and the 900ss) in the trash, and put on some decent remote-reservoir Brembo Goldlines from the later model Duc's. Much nicer setup, better adjustable ergo's, the lever mounting point doesn't snap off in a simple tip over, etc. Doesn't solve the problem of buying rebuild kits, though!

As previously stated, Bevelheaven lists the individual parts on his website...

Bevelheaven.com has online shopping, and stocks Brembo rebuild kits for both the clutch an dbrake master cylinders (I have used both items, they are packaged in Brembo packaging and worked as expected).

On the Bevelheaven site, look under Brake related parts, then under rebuild kits and parts. The clutch M/C rebuild kit is the 13mm kit, Bevelheaven Product ID 395. The brake M/C rebuild kit is the 15mm kit, Bevelheaven Product ID 405.

You may want to buy the tool that Bevelheaven sells for pressing the seal into the M/C body, if you don't have a small diameter tube (like a deep socket) that will fit the M/C internal diameter.

In the past, I have just bought newer stuff off of e-bay, and never really replaced the seals. I have taken stuff apart and cleaned it up. unbelievable amount of crap inside an old M/C. You may just be plagued with particles finding their way under your seals. Keeping your original components of course has some appeal for Concourse correctness.

On the other hand, I can confirm that Ducati dealers no longer sell rebuild kits, even for new stuff. My friend needed a kit for the rear M/C for his 2002 ST4s, and all he could buy from the dealer was the full M/C. But it was only $100, so it was an easy choice for him.

Cheers, Phil
