just interested to find out if rings are easily available your side of the world.
I was one afternoon away from completing the rebuild of my motor and managed to break the one oil ring - #$%&*&^* -!! But here in New Zealand not available nor in Australia. So Gowanloch Ducati in Sydney (quite a famous place to source old Ducati stuff for those who haven't heard about of them before) have had to order from Italy at $AUS 175.00 per set. Is going to take 2-3 weeks.
How does that compare with the States or Europe?

Just bought rings here in the USA for my F1. They were in stock at BCM Ducati in New Hampshire and they cost $106 delivered to me in NY.

is that per set or for both? Does the F1 have 3 rings - 2 compression and 1 oil?
There is a guy here who races an F1 and "i'm told" runs Nissan pistons in it. Have you ever heard of alternative pistons fitting 750 Ducatis before?

Yes the F1 has threee rings in a set. That was just for 1 set. Ducati gets big $$ for piston rings....

There are alternatives to Ducai pistons but I have never heard of a Nissan piston. If the dimensions are right then why not?? I can't imagine that they would be better than Pistal or some other real aftermarket high end pistons. Check out California cycle works online.

Clive, I'm guessing you have fixed this prob but for others there are alternatives.

Dodge Neon/Mitsubishi Eclipse rings are as cheap as (an you get 2 sets) for $93 US landed in NZ

They are 88mm x 1.2 - same as Ducati - you have to get the grooves made deeper but overall its the cheaper option.

Mine are awesome- most compression/ lowest oil comsumption I have had for 9 years !
