Sorry if this is a repost....
I had to take my rear exhaust header off to get the swingarm on and while I tried to be very careful and pay close attention....I never saw a gasket between the pipe and head. Now that I have the bike back together and started her, the exhaust is leaking there. Did I miss something...I checked and swear I never saw a gasket. Help??

Its suchkind gasket that, when its used, its "stugged" to its place very easily and very difficult to take away, but there IS gasket and MUST be... I think, Yours is too old and gone too thin, that You have take old away and put new one...Or U have lost it just, when take those headers away? When put new one, add there copper pasta to keep new gasket in right place, when U put header back... I have bouth right diameter "metal o-rings", what have some stuff inside and when header is tightened, that o-ring will come flat, like normal copper gasket, and those are very good ones. I find those from some mc shops, cause many jap bikes have such gaskets. Not cheap, but very good, so try ask from local mc stores those!

Forget to say, that You can ask such gaskets also from good "car exhaust pipe shops". They have also some good stuff for that...
Francesco, is that 750 paso number for gasket, or 907??? I havent check from microfilm, do they have same (diameter)...

I ordered four of them through my local Ducati dealer a couple of months ago. They are weird, compared to what I am used to for gaskets, as they are a "U" channel ring, but the "U" is filled with the gasket material (the open end of the "U" is actually facing the outer edge). Anyway, I'd pick up a new gasket or two (to have one onhand) and just replace the old one. Hopefully, that will cure your leak.
