Hi Hamish
You can imagine my disappointment.
I was really excited for a while there.

Cheers

    , aw stoppit .... yer killin' me    I have a 5 inch slash where the quacks took a bone graft and it hurts to laugh, Ow but its worth it :P ( I bet Brian McKechnie is still pretty"dissapointed")
I have sent enquiries to the guys I know that may have one . Another thing you can do is whenever your at a bike shop just have a look at what other bikes have and you may just spot something that would work , ( works for lots of bike parts ..... fairing screws etc )

Mike .... I have struck out on a new one, seems that they are history , one of my 2nd hand contacts has no second hand ones but is following the sniff of a new one ( shit I hope it doesn't turn out to be some guy in nelson...... me  ) and Im waiting to hear back from the ratbag.
There is a guy on E-bay ( guzzitech ) that is selling a whole paso swing arm assy with a slider on it ( I only noticed coz I want a chain guard ) , might be worth trying him

As we are more and more in 3D printing innovation, would it be possible to do some reverse engineering and get it printed as a new part?

No idea if the printed plastic could cope with ware and tear however could be worth getting more information on this.

The STs have 2 piece sliders screwed to the swinging arm, one above and one below. It might be easier to adapt an 851 slider. It is one piece with upper and lower sections with a bridge that is attached to the swinging arm by a single screw on the outside.

the chain slider that looks a little like the one of the Paso is the one of the Monster 696.
