Try Grant at spares@ducatispares.co.nz or visit their site WWW.ducatispares.co.nz as they are wrecking several Ducatis (including a Paso) for another manifold. Or try Phil at Desmocycle (sorry can't find his email address). Always keep an eye out on TradeMe, as I've seen carbs & manifolds for sale (there is a Weber carb/air box and manifolds on TradeMe at the moment for $60ish, if you really get stuck).

I used 2inch (50mm) with the screw on velocity stack on my Dellortos. It all fits tight in the engine compartment, but better than cramming little aircleaners into the rear cylinder. I used a short aluminum sleeve at the end of the hose since the air cleaner had 2" id also, so there are two hose clamps right next to eachother and a third one at the carb. So you need a total of 6 hose clamps.

One carb should point to the front and one to the back.

I had this carb set-up on my first Paso. They were great. The only draw back was no choke. Just an enrichening circuit, so you had to keep the revs high by working the throttle until the engine was warm, gradually backing off on the enrichener aka choke lever. It was very easy to foul a plug.

Ok, here is the correct set-up. Using the Mallossi manifolds for the Dells as noted by Paso750 in that image, the carb on the left in that picture is for the front cylinder (horizontal), the carb on the right is for the rear cylinder (vertical). Just substitute your Mikunis for the Dells in that picture. So, the horizontal cylinder carb points to the rear of the bike. When I had this set-up, I had to run foam filters as there was not much room for the filter. The filter basically layed next to the cam belt cover of the vertical cylinder.

There is a manifold you can buy for the front cylinder that will turn the carb toward the front of the bike and make this a nice installation. Check out this video.

Thanks for the great info Wilbur, as I was already playing around with the old manifold 2 c if it could still face forwards, but ran into problems with the aframe and was still on a lean so float levels r? so thanks never thought 2 run it out the side, so it looks like im buying a new manifold cheers Paul
