We will find a way to get these tires to the US. One of us here can send you tires, there may be some customs, taxes and costs of transportation, but I doubt that this will be more expensive compared to a regular provider in North America (and as far as I understood, there is only one in Canada so far).

US or Germany is fine, but I prefer Germany because my Paso is there.

The issue however is that some of the distributors are not doing Goldentyre any favors
by refusing to take orders or even to keep us updated re: availability.

@all

As G. mentioned before, I am rather concerned that they will find out that the demand for these kind of tires is very smal. If I think of distibution costs etc., it may be hard to make any money with the production of these kind of tires. Hence, the chance that there will be a second batch some day may be smal. Buying now two or three sets is not helpful, because giving the mileages we do with the Paao, the second set is already quite old when the first one is used up.

My 'new' Michelin's are about 13 years old and just passed the German Tüv.
Somehow I doubt people won't buy more than one set.

I wrote Goldertires an email asking if there are any plans to make a second batch in the future. I willl you keep updated, even though I am sure that they do not know this currently and rather watch the demand of the first batch.

all the best, Hardo

We'll soon print new rubber for our Paso's on portable 3d printers, so no worries ;)

Hi XXX,
we can produce this tyre when we have enough orders and this can happen even every month if it’s required. Don’t worry for that
Have a nice week…and send me a pic, if you can, of your bike!!
With best regards

....yes and no, to pass the Tüv will be no problem - they do not care about DOT too much -, but it is no fun driving old tires....

My 2004 set of michelin felt very bad in there last year of use (2010), not only because of the profile

anyway: horrible tires, I do not miss them at all

I just got an email from Goldentyre re Paso tires. Cost is 400 Euro per pair, plus shipping and taxes. That's shipping from Italy, and import taxes. Pricey, but where else you gonna get 'em?

One correction to my previous post about tires: price of 400 euro includes shipping from Italy via DHL.

Hi,

The Dutch Golden tyre importer TMV e-mail that they have order some sets. In order to get hold of these tyres you have to ask your local dealer to contact TMV and place an order. The tyres will arrive in a couple of days. Prices still unknown.

I have contacted my dealer motortoer in amsterdam and asked them to place an order.
They are working on it.

Ps I could not get to this site did I miss something?

I emailed G.T. and got this response:

Dear Randy,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We are having a lot of requests in regards to those tires, we are the only company producing them at the moment and we can certainly assist you. We don't have those tires in the US just yet, so you could purchase them directly from our HQ in Italy.

Price is as follow:

2 SET

130/60-ZR16 TLS 58W GT 070 - 2 pcs
160/60-ZR16 TLS 68W GT 071 - 2 pcs
+
DHL shipment to a not specified USA address (shipping charges may vary slightly once we enter your exact shipping address)
=
Total amount around EUR 800,00

Please also consider that any customs costs and local taxes will be at your charge.

To complete the purchase please connect directly with Mr. Saverio DeFrancia at saverio.defrancia@buymec.com (he reads us in copy).

We look forward to fulfill all your current and future tires needs. If you need any help on other Goldentyre tires please do not hesitate to contact us at 855.972.8973 (toll free).

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Stefy Bau

The whole site & forum has been down for over a week. Unluckily that happens once in a while.

The paso's are a front heavy bike and VERY hard on front tyres,my last soft one lasted less than 1000 km's, I'd wait and see before I rushed in...... J.

To complete the purc

Doesn't make too much sense.

In the EU they're about 300Euro per set.

Shipping them to the US should deduct the VAT (19%), so about 250 euro per set.

Shipping can't be 300 euros.

Add customs fees and you get crazy costs overall

I ordered a Golden Tyre set but I'm not planning on changing the M59's until next year.

Aren't new tires supposed to be slippery? ;)
