Grounding

Post by duc24u »

Ok , I almost have the 907 kicked however, I cannot seem to get enough ground from the ecu to give me spark to the injectors. I can get spark when I ground to the frame or battery. I know I cannot just keep it grounded that way. Any sollutions as far as the cpu I have contacted Carmo electronics they rebuild these to spec I guess. Waiting to hear back actually. I understand the grounds pulse to power everything. But how do I know the actual ecu that I have is the one supposed to be on the bike? I see so many different numbers for the ecu's

The 907ie had the MARELLI P7 there were NO others.

big and square, impossible to

someone tried the P8 (same connector, same case , different motherboard and in theory could be swapped with the P7) but i do not have direct experiences.

you have been posting quite a lot lately, has the bike been modified?

if you aree missing the ground, just add d it, no?

The ground comes from the computer, I believe if I add a ground the gas would be flowing all the time and then I would have no control of the amount for proper mixture. No the bike has not been modified. I purchased it from someone who has not ridden it in a long time due to electrical problems. I have found most. This has been a dream bike for me and I just want to bring it back to life.

Here are pictures of the ECU that should be in the bike. This is a USA bike.

right ecu (IAW043) with Italian (EU) chip: the USA computers had some different chips with a leaner mixture.
