about the question how to recognize an aftermarket carb job. Usually that`s easy. If you go down in front of the bike and look below the fairing you will see the carb and above it the black airbox. Usually aftermarket carbs don`t use any airboxes because they don`t fit and making a new one is usuall...

usually Michelin produces some batches every couple of years. Check the web thoroughly and you will find the tires somewhere almost at any time and also in your own country. At least that`s my experience. If you have a Duc dealer that often works on Pasos or Sports he usually will now also. Mostly b...

there seem to be huge price differences. I paid much less for the piston only (in Germany). I would have to ask for the current price.

check also the download section. There`s a used bikes guide for the Paso750. It`s not about the 906, but it will give you an indication.

measures Paso 280mm brake discs

Anyone have at hand the internal diameter, mounting hole diameter, disc thickness and height of the brake disc (the area which is touched by the brake pads.
I have the measures at home but maybe someone is faster. I was just wondering as some Kawasaki brake discs look similar.

it`s true, rules are strict. But I can be sure that things that are officially approved were well tested by engineers of the technical institution. However it`s also possible to have things approved, but of course they make you pay as they will first take a first good look before approving it. That ...

I don`t know about the availability of the pin(mushroom). It might be part of the piston/bearing set. However I guess you can find a shop who can machine it. Looking at the shape I don`t think that`s a hard job to do for a pro.

you will note if you check your dealer that the parts for a Paso are really expensive as you can only get the whole piston/bearing assembly as a complete. I changed the secondary piston* and bearing with one of a 750SS (early model). The bearing might have been a replacement SKF, I can`t recall. Thi...

I guess noone has tried this size yet. In Germany the only front tire officially allowed in combination with the M59X rear is a 130/70-60 Macadam 90X. Probably this info is so old that type doesn`t exist anymore, I don`t know :)

is 3-3.500 really a good price !? Specially for a bike with that milage. Don`t let us talk about list prices but for what they are sold. here`s a ner to perfect and tuned 750 for € 3180 (in the US, so it would be + shipping and import tax) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ducati-Sport-Touring-Ducati-7...

100.000km is really a lot although there`re some bikes around with even higher milage. Sooner or later you should consider an engine rebuilt. However the bike was treated it may need new engine bearings, steering head bearing etc, fork rebuild ... This should be checked in detail. Cecking the engine...

I`m using Hyperpro progressive fork springs (and have also a progressive rear spring not yet installed though). I`m very pleased with them. The fork finally shows that it absorbs shocks, you can actually see it movong ! :umm: Before it seemed quite hard. Of course these springs also come with a diff...

My Duc mechanic btw. has a Gilera 600 RC-R. The street legal offroad version of the Nordwest. That bike was converted to a Supermoto with differnt fork, wire wheels etc. That bike is not slick but sick  That thing is so high I wonder how he makes it to get on it or stop at a traffic light w/o f...
