Re: 906 and 907 for sale via in Sydney

I think their having a bit of a dream personally at 12K, if I was still on the hunt for one, I'd think 6 to 6.5K Aussie would be about the right money for this one. Having said that a butchered Hailwood with NCR tank and seat went for 20K the other day, I know the seller and we spoke about what peop...

Re: Hello all, new member here.....looking for some directio

Electrics are a bother but I think it is mostly due to the electric starter being somewhat new for the marque at the time. As you know, a 900 Darmah was kick-start That's actually not quite right, square case Bevels were available with electric (as an option) as well as kick starters since the 860 ...

Re: Braided brake line problem

Thanks Peter, so am I. I may send the picture of the Venhill lines and the Cobra line to the Cobra distributor, however they are just distributors and have been told that the problem is at my end and therefore are not really interested. The lines they supplied in that kit are just plain wrong, to m...

Ducati on Pole for Jerez...

OK they haven't even gotten that far yet. The Jerez GP is on this weekend and anything is possible, no? Marquez has a broken finger, Pedrosa not riding, George may finally get back up to speed and come out on top, or either Andrea could win it, the old dog is hungry, it's turning out to be a great s...

Re: Braided brake line problem

Hey Giscard, I used the copper washers on the M/C line into and the lines out from the splitter, don't have the bike any longer to go take pictures for you, sorry. You simply shouldn't be having this much trouble with it, which is an understatement, given how long ago you bought the kit makes it dif...

Re: Good Lord, poor thing.

G'Day there Arch, :D 'Pose that's the thing, tis a curious medium to choose, if someone was handy with photoshop and could colour the tail section in and add some basic graphics could be interesting or most likely not  At a guess he bought the poor thing at a bargain price with bits missing, fu...

Re: Braided brake line problem

That's interesting PasoRoo. Did the lines from the line splitter to the discs have copper washers fitted and did the fittings screw in far enough into the line splitter to compress them. I have been told by the Cobra people that they have sold "hundreds" to Australia (manufactured under l...

Re: Good Lord, poor thing.

Hey there Mc Tool :D Your right, and wouldn't have been most people's choice I'd say, me included  But if he has made that tail section himself, it's a bloody nice bit of sheet metal work, but not sure now if they are fairing lowers in the background after looking at the picture again. Cheers P...

Re: Good Lord, poor thing.

I must be getting nicked in the head in my old age, actually can picture it finished and painted and think it won't look 1/2 bad when done, you can see the steel fairing lowers in the background, damn nice sheet metal work he's done. http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/p620/bmw851/Ducati%20Pictures/...

Re: Great Start to Season for GP15 bike and Ducati Team

For those interested, from Motomatters.com website Some light was shed on Ducati's fuel problems at Austin as well. In an interview with the Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Ducati Corse boss Gigi Dall'Igna explained that the problem was not running out of fuel, but due to cavitation preve...

Re: Great Start to Season for GP15 bike and Ducati Team

I did read somewhere I thought, that the GP15 was already running 22 litres, from everything I've read, my understanding is the big thing with Ducati and running the GP15 as a "Factory Bike" with concessions was the no restrictions on the engine development, for a literally new bike you wo...
