Re: Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement?
Googled the 69921511A p/n and it comes up here: http://www.store.commoto.com/product_info.php?products_id=71923 looks like we can get it for all our bikes? doug Hi Doug, well, you could always buy the OEM part from Ducati as well. My point when I started this thread was twofold: 1. I didn't want to...

Re: Spontaneous combustion and a flaming Paso
quick connects Usually the o-ring breaks. I know two guys who had to make this experience. G. Make that 3! I found the company that makes the quick-connects for the 748/996 series gas tanks. They made an inline version, so I bought a bunch, ran them on my 900ss, and my Paso. A few years later, my 9...

Re: Spontaneous combustion and a flaming Paso
My Flaming Duc story... Practice at Mid Ohio on the 900ss, running Malossi's (massaged DellOrtos). Ran out of gas, coasted into the pit. Topped up the tank. Unfortunately, when the float went all the way down, the little plastic piece that the float hinged on got stuck down. Too tight of a fit. So t...

Wiring on uderside of tank?
My wiring fell off the underside of my tank. I have looked at the schematic and can't determine which one goes where... There are 4 connections on my tank, and 3 wires on the pigtail. The 3 wire colors are Black, Pink, and Violet. http://forum.miata.net/vb/picture.php?albumid=1330&pictureid=6136...

Source for fairing bolts
Well, I finally got around to some final details on the Paso that have been bothering me for years. One of the final ones is the mismatched fairing bolts. They are M6-1.0, button head, take a 4mm allen, and are black coated stainless steel. Varying lengths of 20 and 25mm. Several of mine have been r...

Re: Ignitech Sparker TCIP4 ignition?
I read thru a couple hours of posts on the Monster board about this box. This is what I gathered. The distance between the leading and trailing edge of the boss on the flywheel define the maximium duration of advance. It is 26 degrees. Since you can set your pickup on the flywheel to whatever you wi...

Re: Ignitech Sparker TCIP4 ignition?
Those of you who've run this setup, can you answer a question? The base timing starts at 10 deg, and advances to 14 deg by 2,600 rpm on the Ignitech. Finally reaches 32 deg at 7,000 rpm. The base timing starts at 6 deg, and advances to 32 deg by 2600 rpm on the Kokusan. So, how do you set timing? As...
Re: New here
Egagnon I ran across your old post today, where you mention running the Metzler tires with little modification. When you say "adjusted all the way out" are you referring to having to rotate the axle pivot backwards as far as possible with an extra 2 chain links, or spacing it sideways to c...

Ignitech Sparker TCIP4 ignition?
Anybody ever heard of these? Sold by Chris Kelley at Ca-cycleworks.com I blew yet another Kokusan bb1105 igniter box (this on the 92 900ss, but they're the same as on the Paso). Started looking for substitutes, this is what Chris recommended. Anybody have any experience with them? Reliability? $249....

Re: Sigh...Still Single
"Burn at the side of the road." LOL! I'm guessing you saw my AMA debut back in 2000 at Mid Ohio? Friggin' cheesy plastic foats on the Malossi carbs (DellOrtos) on my 900ss Pro Thunder bike.... That bike was a fireball! I did replace every ground under the seat/engine, as well as a bunch of...

Re: Sigh...Still Single
YAHTZEE! It's probably too soon to be celebrating, but I'm going to anyways! Ran just fine on the test drive this evening. (of course, this will be time #4 that I think I've found the problem, only to have it recurr a few days later!) I'm a little perplexed as to why it was fine for 22 years with th...

Re: Sigh...Still Single
9Volts off? I'd say you found your problem. We have a relay mod included in our Weber.doc and there is much here in the F.A.Q.'s Higgy, quick question. I couldn't find the mod instructions, I simply routed a hefty wire to a relay, 2 wires split with one going to each coil where the orange wires con...

Re: Sigh...Still Single
Different story, Number one suspect on any Paso with a high end miss is voltage supply to the coils. For 5usd you can get a digital led display and wire it to one or both coils and monitor the voltage or if you have a fluke set it on record and go for a ride, static test may not necessarily uncover ...

Re: Sigh...Still Single
the idle mixture will be way too lean.........very likely causing a misfired or dead cylinder I neglected to mention that this is noticeable at high speeds mostly. I'll be riding along at 70mph, and all of a sudden it feels like it "drops" a cylinder. Occasionally it will cut in and out, ...
