Fairing Bolts?

I have read thru the posts on here, and a frequent recommendation is to use McMaster Carr to source these. All the 6mm metric button head cap screws on their site have 10.5mm diameter heads. The OEM bolts have 15mm diameter heads, so they won't look the same. Am I missing something here? Even worse,...

I looked at my bike, I don't have a second hole, just the hole where you moved yours to.

Perhaps someone added a second hole to your machine's lever?

Re: Goldentyre Purchase in USA

I asked Stefy for an update. Here is what she said: Hello Michael, We should have a shipment in by mid-September. Please check back then. We are sending tires as sets and I would prefer to sell them as such. If you do have a request for "singles" I suggest you to give me an exact count now...

Re: Everyone, please welcome Cecilia (88 Paso 750, 6K mis)

Don't worry about that splitter. If it's held up for any amount of time, it's probably fine. Good idea to clean and lube it, though. What kind of total blackouts are you experiencing? Is the headlight getting dimmer, and dimmer, until finally the bike stops? Or is it a sudden "click" and e...

Re: Everyone, please welcome Cecilia (88 Paso 750, 6K mis)

Zip-tied to your wiring loom is the round aluminum housing for the throttle cable splitter (bifurcation-ator for the nerdy). Take this apart and inspect it. I also have Dellortos and the same splitter. Well, on my second splitter actually because the first one came apart in that same housing. Those...

Electrical: * What mods does it have? Yes, that certainly looks like the Ignitech TCIP4 igniter setup. Nice little box, neatly replaces the Kokusan modules that tend to fail on the older Duc's. You can get the software for that free from the manufacturer, and can create your own ignition timing cur...

Re: Goldentyre Purchase in USA

Here is what I heard from Stefy Bau just this afternoon: Hello Michael, The price for the set is $390. We do not have them in the US just yet but I added you to the list. As soon as they are available I will reconnect with you. Thank you and we apologize for any inconvenience. Kind Regards, Stefy Ba...

Re: More electrical probs

My Paso does this, but not as bad. If it sits for more than a week, it needs a little boost to start. I have a small jumper pack ready for this. A better battery would likely fix this (current one is at least 4 years old), but I'm not about to buy a new battery this late in the season! Maybe next ye...

Re: Clutch clutch clutch is not so clutch

Oh, boy! There's a whole bunch of parts missing! Good thing you have a spare to use... Look at this photo of a section of the parts microfiche, all those parts listed under #3 are supposed to be in there. Download the microfiche and service manual from the stickys above, if you haven't already. http...

It is my understanding that Brembo no longer sells rebuild kits... No, but KTM do. Type=13&A=168&B=12 http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ktmworld/KTM_OEM/KTMDB.asp?Type=13&A=168&B=12 Seals and pistons are available for the 4 piston brake calipers and for the brake master cylind...

Re: Clutch clutch clutch is not so clutch

Dross1, glad to hear you've got it sorted! We should go for a ride sometime! There is a mod that involves fitting a piston ( slave ) from a later ducati ( posts are here ) thats worth thinking about Interesting! I had never heard of that. If any of us ever need to rebuild, it's good info to know. He...

Re: Clutch clutch clutch is not so clutch

I can't believe the set up for the bike, never thought it would ever be this difficult. Just got back from work, no time yet to take the bike out as I have to go workout. Once I get back I am going to pump about 3x and do a quick bleed, then take it for a ride. Be back on here later tonight with ei...

Re: Clutch clutch clutch is not so clutch

Dustin, if you're absolutely sure you aren't losing any fluid, it can only be the internal seals in the master cylinder. A leak at the slave cylinder, or a leak at one of the hose connections would give similar symptoms, but with a loss of fluid. Air in the lines will also cause a similar symptom, e...
