Re: New tires ?

What I'm going to do with the Front tire is still open. I always mixed brands on the Paso, because the behavior withe the original front tire was problematic (dangerous) Yes for a person not familiar with the paso, the handling with the original front tyre is dangerous a skinnier more rounded profil...

Re: Golden Tire !!

Don't get your knickers in a knot,I'm just having a bit of fun, nothing personal. You will find no criticism of golden tyres in my posts as I have not tried them and therefore cannot comment on them,as is the case for most of the others on this forum. I am only stating the facts of the matter, which i...

Re: Golden Tire !!

No doubt they do Higgy,I'm just having a little indirect dig at the guy that suggested that I should buy the rest of the harley to match my rear tyre.   These golden tyres may prove to be excellent tyres,we don't know yet do we ? J.

ROFL    and also they do several style of scooter tyres, and one it would appear fits the pasos. Yes they are advertising the fact that ...

Re: New tires ?

Hi Randtcastell, the front I am using is an avon azaro 170/70/16,these are a very circular profile when fitted and have negligible countersteer issues. There is more data written on the tyre,I will have a look when I get home from work,as it is too dark and cold out there at the moment .J.

Re: New tires ?

I'm not sure that you have seen the metzeler tyre fitted Mctool :P To put this debate in perspective ,I'll post the actual measured sizes from pasoalfs chart : michelin A59 diameter 605 mm, width 165 mm Metzeler ME880 diameter 615 mm,width 174 mm. Thats a whopping 9mm wider than stock (5 %) and a hu...

Re: New tires ?

Mikunis too ?      ,c'mon, not many seem too concerned about the originality of their paso's on this site,(they swap to 17" wheels even),they seem more concerned with how they perform,my point is anyone expecting a magic bullet in the handling department, from these...

Re: New tires ?

My 'too big 180' ,handles and wears very well thankyou, not to mention the fact that it is easy to obtain,a lot cheaper than trying to import yourself, requires no modifications to bike, and is very hard to pick any difference in looks with the bike side on.(and not a lot of difference rear on,I doubt ...

Re: New tires ?

The paso's are a front heavy bike and VERY hard on front tyres,my last soft one lasted less than 1000 km's, I'd wait and see before I rushed in...... J.

Re: I got a Paso in my garage!

If you are going to be riding it until you can get bigger jets I'd put the smaller AC's back in it too,the 185's will be too big for your 145 mains and could be contributing to your problems. The very early pasos had 60 idle 142 mains 160 AC's your mains are 145 at the moment,so your AC's should be ...

Re: I got a Paso in my garage!

yeah thats right carby lean / exhaust rich, but not set in stone, there are exceptions.

bigger mains, bigger idles will fix it,or 44 level float may improve it enough, but you will still be lean me thinks :) . J.

Re: I got a Paso in my garage!

The idle screws only control the amount of fuel at idle,4 turns out is too far ,it suggests that a larger idle jet should be fitted but its a long way out for 55 idles, you may have a different taper on the screws or your air bleed screws are open to far.You should start with both air bleeds seated a...
