Re: white pre production P750?

I wonder what ever happened to the 350? In a museum somewhere, broken up, sitting in a former employee's shed?

Cheers.

Re: white pre production P750?

There was the white 350 in Ian Falloon's book. Could it be that?

Cheers.

Re: Check Water Pump

Is it possible you didn't line up the drive to the water pump when you removed/replaced the Starter Motor? To get the starter motor out, you would need to remove the Alternator cover. The cover also has the Water pump in it. From memory there is a slot to line up on the Water pump shaft to the drive...

Re: weirdness

Hi Higgy. Some time back I replaced the Sprag bearing with the KTM equivalent. It went in with the original spring that came with the bearing. It hasn't been a problem since. There was an extra clip on one side of the bearing, but it came off without too much trouble. It all just fitted! When you sa...

Chain slider files

Hi everyone. A little while back there was a post about 3D printing the chain sliders. In the post were some files required for the printing there of. Does anyone have .stl or similar copies of the sliders? A mate of mine has built himself a 3D printer. The phone cover he made is a little more intri...

Re: 907 crazy turn signals?

The main earth off the battery goes down to a stud below the battery box. Can't remember if it is on the frame or the engine casing? There is also an earth on the frame under the fuel tank up near the steering head. There may be others!? Good luck finding an original flasher can! I found a couple in...

Re: 907 crazy turn signals?

Sounds like a dodgy earth going on there somewhere. Or possibly a short going on in the wiring loom. I haven't had it on the 907, but there is a post here somewhere about over tight cable ties breaking insulation and all weird sorts of things happening after that. You say the high beam idiot light i...

Re: New member

Hi Keith. Welcome to the forum. Many have come though here, most stay. I know that feeling of poverty, and the thrill you get when you park that 1st bike in the shed afterwards. I wish you luck with those illusive indicator lenses. They are out there, it's just a matter of waiting for them to show u...

Re: UK Spec headlight

How is this for a memory! Way back when the 750S was all the rage I found a feedback letter to a Motorcycle magazine asking what was suitable replacement for the headlight on a 750S, as the Ducati unit was super $$$. The magazine response was to fit a Hella replacement. The part number was Hella 104...

Re: Horn kills the motor?

Hi G. By connecting the 0 volt line to the centre tap gives effectively a 2 phase alternator. So either end of the "coil" will be 180 Deg apart. So when one end is peaking positive, the other end will be peaking negative. This can then be rectified with only 2 diodes to get what is a full ...

Re: Horn kills the motor?

That's weird, because if I put the + lead of my multimeter to the red wire coming out of the magneto, and the - lead to a ground I get 12v DC...... I wouldn't expect that to happen? According to the circuit diagram the red wire (the CT) is connected to ground. Can you track down where the other end...

Re: Horn kills the motor?

Put a multimeter across the battery and see what voltage it reads . Ignition off it should read around 12.5 to 13.5 volts. Start it up and let it idle. Battery volts will be less than before as it would have degraded slightly due to the starting current. Slow rev the bike up and by about 3000rpm it ...
