Re: Idle thoughts on my Paso 906

Hi Stiv. I little while back I purchased Lane's 906. It's not pretty, but it is complete. It sits in a shed along with a P750 that I purchased around the same time. They both get a run every 6 months by me, and a run about every 3 by someone else. As to bleeding dollar coins (English pounds?) in to ...

Re: starter removal

Hi Arch. It's been a little while, so the memory is a little rusty, but if it is the same as the 907 you won't need to drain the oil. The only oil that I found behind the alternator cover was forced in by the oil pump when the motor was turned over by hand. The frame rail should should also just unb...

Re: Adding engine oil

There are two plugs on its inner side that sit in rubber grommets on the bottom side of the tank which is why it's still holding when the two bolts are removed. Anyone got any spare of these grommets? My bike lost them before getting to me and i have a work around in place. if i had a proper one i ...

Re: fuel pump won't turn on

Hi Arch. Long time no hear! The $90 question is the relay that powers the fuel pump energising? If it is not energising (you should be able to hear it click), then that will point to everybody's favourite switch, the Off/Run/Off switch, or at least the power that comes from it. From my ever depletin...

Re: I'd forgotten what great bike this is to ride

Hi Derek. I'm not sure if I had a win with brakes, as the 907 is how parked up for a bit. In the process of readying the bike for its sleep, I left it out in the sun after washing it. The front brake lever travel is now minimal. Draw on the lever as much as you like it doesn't get anywhere near the ...

Re: Front brake master cylinder

Hi Hamish.

I found a set of M/C's off a 996. Worth a few Bob, but you get that. After 12 months in storage, they are going back in again for another 3, so all the good ideas will have to wait again.

Cheers.

Re: Front brake master cylinder

On mine, I had a couple of scares i.e. lever touching the handlebar trying to stop at a traffic light; at the time I though the issue was with the fluid so I replaced it and after bleeding it several times I decided the MCs where crap and replaced them with the Serie Oro from a 916. Some purists wi...

Re: Front brake master cylinder

Hi Hamish. It seemed a bit odd the fluid ran through. I did look at a few master cylinders on eBay. The you beaut, straight from China are beer money, but quality could be an issue? I have a British Princess sitting next to the 907 and it has a radial brake master (hence the second question). I thou...

Front brake master cylinder

Hi everyone. I have just replaced the old rubber brake lines with HEL stainless lines, and found a little problem in the process. Without the lines connected to the calipers, brake fluid runs out constantly without the brake lever pulled in. Makes it easy to bleed the air out, but doesn't seem right...

Have a look at the topic http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?t=6277

It will save you a little bit of time!

And welcome to the site of knowledge!

Does the modification of the Carby include a fuel pump?

Cheers.
