Re: Conti 2 in 1 on Ebay

Antti, I think the reason the article 'disappears' is that Ebay sticks this whole section at the top of the page after the auction ends. If you scroll down you would still see the original listing. I can't justify spending the money right now otherwise I would have been tempted to buy this. The pipe...

Re: Full Paso fairing, incl. mirrors, very cheap!

As far as I know the seller is legitimate. I have bought stuff from him on Ebay in the past and it arrived promptly.

Not sure about the postage cost, though. At the time I bought my gear it was whatever the going rate was from Europe by post. I'd contact him if you're interested.

Re: Overhauling the master cylinder

Thanks for the info Jaffa! I don't have any fluid leaking from the master cylinder so that should be all right.

Re: Overhauling the master cylinder

Thanks G!

Can you shed some light on the questions hidden in there as well as on the picture? :) I'm trying to figure out if I can still use the master cylinder or whether I should get a replacement.

Cheers,

Mike

Are you sure yours was tucked up at home? Maybe someone's borrowing it. :)

Overhauling the master cylinder

Hi All, After living for a while with front brakes that were still spongy I have decided to sort them out once and for all. I took the entire system off the bike and cleaned the parts. Taking the master cylinder apart I found that the bore is slightly scored. Not much, but still visible. DSC_0387000...

Re: importing

I reckon shipping a bike won't be that much more Claude. Shipping it in a sea container the freighters don't care about weight, just the volume. Which, for a bike, isn't that much at all. Air freight would of course cost the GDP of a small Pacific nation.

Re: importing

The only thing you would need to change is the headlight lens to accomodate the fact we drive on the other side of the road (an Australian version of the lens cuts the part of the beam thrown to the right to prevent blinding oncoming traffic). The F1 was sold in Australia so the there would be a typ...

Re: 1/2 price sale

Hey G, I' d like to know a bit more about this FCR business. Suppose at some stage I would look for a pair of these, should I be thinking of the 39mm or the 41 mm? My other question concerns the pipework. Would the FCRs use the original inlet pipes (My Paso currently has a pair of Dell' Ortos so tha...

Re: 907 Contemplation

Way to go boys! I have never owned any Italian cars, but worked with someone who is a serious buyer and fixer of Ferraris and Lambos. Recently he showed me photos of a mate's Countach which 'ran a bit rough' because it ate a few of its' 12 pistons. Judging by his stories you drive the 80s Italians b...

Re: Brake pads

Hi all, Helpful info as always :) . I think I'll try the original Brembo pads and see if they improve braking. Clive, the Bevel Heaven product info for the 300mm kit says that it is a straight bolt-on on all bikes that had the F08 calipers, such as the 750 F1. I thought that the F1 had the Oscam 16&...

Brake pads

Hi all, Had the belts done on the Paso today and a new clutch slave piston put in (yes G, the expensive German one :) ) by a very good Ducati workshop here in Canberra that delivers good work and doesn't charge you a fortune. They also checked out the front brake because, despite putting in new pads...

It was terrible to hear the news this week and it is easy to forget that mining is still a risky business. I wish the families of the miners all the strength they can muster.
