Re: Paso throttle cable measurements and photos

Fortunately, I have a friend across the road from me that is a retired mechanical engineer who is also a motorcycle rider (very handy). I showed the cable and he said YES, it is crimped. He knew just the crimp tool that did it. He's so interested in this that he wants to make the rod on his lathe an...

Re: Paso throttle cable measurements and photos

Thanks for the crimping info. The question then is if you make up a new cable and housing and use all the other existing parts (adjusters, etc.), where would we find that threaded rod with the crimping end and the crimping tool? The rod is 113mm long and is threaded 5mmx0.8. I could cut the thread w...

Re: Paso throttle cable measurements and photos

As to the hex section of the rod... if you could see it in three dimensions, it is a six sided hex. Doesn't seem to have any crimp marks. That is not to say it may not be crimped, I just can't see how it can be done that smoothly and with a nice hex. Does anyone on the forum know for sure about this...

Re: Paso throttle cable measurements and photos

It wasn't the size. I had to resize them to 1280 max. I wanted everyone to have details pix. It seems I can only upload three at a time. That's fine. If you know any tricks for that, let me know.

Paso throttle cable measurements and photos

I post every once in a while but have been on the forum for a very long time. Much great knowledge here. Here is my humble offering. The 750 and 906 throttle cables are the same. Same part number. But you can no longer order them from Ducati. That worried me. I recently bought a used cable from Guzz...

Re: Paso fairy tales

pasoalf i agree totally. The Paso 750 has been much dumped on. I have had mine for 15 years. I read this forum regularly but seldom post because most members have more to offer in info than I. But, the Weber... I knew Mikunis inside and out. The Weber was a whole different animal. And that is what m...

floating disc that floats too much!

I have a 88 750 Paso and since I got it in 1998 it has had full floating front discs. I guess that was the replacement for the previous owner when an original disc warped. Though now in 2012 the discs are still well within their wear limits, the discs themselves rattle as loud as an open dry clutch....

Re: Desperate for Carb help/replacement in Colorado

I've had my P750 for 12 years. Little did I know when I bought it that the previous owner had the Weber "adjusted". Other than the fuel pressure control, the only other change was a hole patched and drilled emulsion tube. It ran wonderfully at 5000 feet and up elevation (Denver, CO). Then ...

where to order SKF bearings in the USA

Well, I've got to pull the forks for an blown fork seal. If I'm going to strip the old girl down that much, might as well check wheel and steering bearings. By then it will be winter, so might as well check the rear wheel and swing arm while I'm at it. This is how little projects get out of hand. An...

This guy is a good reliable source. I've bought Paso stuff form him before. Easy to work with and reasonable.

Re: Stripping Marzocchi rear shock

curious as to where you ended up with your jetting Well, let's see if I can make this brief. First, all the standard things that are talked about. It has stock air box with a K&N filter. Fuel pressure regulator in place set at about 3 psi. Of course, the original Paso had a brass fuel jet of so...

Weber? Sure. It's much bad mouthed but is really not bad at all. What do ya want to know.
