Re: Have we seen this before?
Hi randtcastell, No problem, it happens to me regularly (that's what you get when you're around 60). Maybe also because the article has been moved to a corner of the forum that is a part that is hardly visited (again: incomprehensible in my opinion). How often is something (new) written about our Pa...

Re: Have we seen this before?
Hi randtcastell! yes, I made a topic about it: "What was so special about the Ducati Paso?" on May 26th 2020 (I did put it in the " Paso 750 " forum but for some incomprehensible reason it was moved to " Aiming for the Apex "). You even responded on the item (May 27th 2...

Re: Paso "Competition Only" exhaust
How do you mean: they are longer? Is the actual muffler longer or the pipe on the "intake" side? What I mean is: the 851 strada (1988 version) had similar exhaust but a different length. If you give the part numbers which are stamped in the mufflers and I can check them. I've had a "C...

Re: fuel hose clamps
Hi, Sorry forgot to react on your Y fuel connector: the only way is up! These days mostly 6mm or 8mm are available (either plastic or messing). I would use the 8mm, will work fine with the 7mm fuel line (but again, for this application measure the diameter once you have slid the fuel hose on the con...

Re: fuel hose clamps
Hi, I use cobra clamps myself (just a bit difficult to get them)! From experience, 1 remark: measure the diameter of the fuel hose when you have slid the fuel hose onto the nipple and then you measure the outside diameter. This because the Cobra clamps are beautifully made but very sensitive to the ...

Re: Hi from Italy!!
Hi Marco, Sono solo curioso: già sentito o visto qualcosa sulla copertura dell'cruscotto? Looking at the picture it seems he has a black plastic framework with the plexiglass glued on top of .... just wonder how he made (assuming he made it himself) the framework. Frank (this year the first year not...

Re: Hi from Italy!!
Hi Marco, E 'bello risentirti! I'm very interested in the new plexiglass dashboard cover, so please make as much pictures (details) as possible. Hope it is a good UV resistant quality since the original version withstands the test of time quite well with the exception of the "ears...

Re: rear shock alternatives?
Gerhard, Wilbers also have the 641 shock versions (46mm piston instead of the 36mm piston of the 631). That's the one which I have had them made for me (with piggy-bag and hydraulic pretensioner, similar to the Ohlins you describe). Basically as long as you give the shock manufacturer the eye-to-eye...

Re: Rear calliper plate
Keith,
if you want to be 200% sure you could order a new one from Stein Dinse:
https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_inf ... rettyPhoto
P&P to the UK €10,90 so in total €49,71 (about 45 gbp).
That is until Brexit kicks in
just an option ....

Re: Rear calliper plate
Hi Keith, I was surprised to actually see 2 part numbers for the 750 (037080050) and 906 (82510021A) rear brake base plate, but rest assured, even in the case that they are not identical (I would be surprised) they are 100% interchangeable. The swing arm numbers are the same for the 750 and 906, as ...

Re: Carburetor synchronization tuning
guys, Before anyone is bothered: this is the short version. Synchronization, the how, in practice depends on carburettor/injection construction and the number of cylinders. In short, it boils down to the fine adjustment either on the throttle valve adjustment (mechanical) or also via the idle mixtur...
