Re: DucatiDiag,JPDiag and GuzziDiag

What about the driver from the link ? There's something about earthing too. I can't remember what it was, but it may have been don't earth to the battery. You're not the first peson to have these sorts of issues with it. That ChrisW is a bit of a whizz at it, I'd read all the posts on it by him that...

Re: DucatiDiag,JPDiag and GuzziDiag

Be careful how you hook it up - you can easily fry the ecu if you do it wrong. Read through this link and try downloading the driver from it. http://jpdiag.xooit.eu/t1893-Getting-Started-with-Ducatidiag.htm And no I've not used it myself. I have the cables and the software but I've not got around to...

Re: Paso 750 restoration

I've decided to paint the frame now rather than soda blast and powder coat. Prep wise I'll leave the existing paint on and rub it down, and just do heavy prep to the rusted areas.

I'll still get the motor soda blasted though.

Thanks for all the little tidbits of information from you all.

I hate it when interesting threads like this just come to an abrupt stop and you never get to know what the final outcome was . . .

Re: Paso 750 restoration

Ok G that's brilliant information thanks. This is going to take me a while as I'm renovating a house at the same time, and like most of us, I have limited spare time and funds. Re the soda blasting, I'll keep this as updated as I can with pics etc, but I've chosen soda blasting as it seems to be qui...

Re: Paso 750 restoration

Great thanks stiv, that's just the sort of stuff I need to know about. Unfortunately I didn't take the bike apart and so have no idea where the earthing points are. Can you give me a pointer toward that please ?

Paso 750 restoration

I have acquired an in bits Paso 750 and am about to start to restore it. I will start by getting the frame soda blasted and then powder coated. If anybody has ever had a frame powder coated, which bits do I not want powder coat on ? Obviously I'm aware that anything that is threaded doesn't want to ...

What a fantastic bike, and well done on all the work you've done on it. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading through this thread.

You implied it by saying putting lithium grease on the clutch frictions makes no sense.
