Re: Chain Adjusters - should they slide freely?
I guess its just one of them things you sometimes discover when you buy a used vehicle .......no control over its past owners actions. Bit of a pita but with a good o ring chain you wont be doing much adjusting . I met the previous owner of my Paso at a bike rally . He expressed surprise to see it s...

Re: Chain Adjusters - should they slide freely?
I wouldnt trim the extrusions ,I think its far more likely that the sides of the tubing have been "moved " inwards and trimming the extrusion will only make this deformation worse . Maybe someone torqued up the axle without the extrusions fitted , I have seen worse happen after a big day ....

Re: Chain Adjusters - should they slide freely?
They should slide reasonably freely , like you should be able to move it with a bolt as you describe. Might be dirt , might also be that someone has got a bit ham fisted and damaged the edges of the slot ......maybe dress it up with a wire brush ( dirt ) or a file for flattening off dings . If someo...

Re: Water temperature indicator (or sensor?)
Take the wire off the sensor and turn on key ......if the gauge still moves to 120⁰ it aint the sensor.

20 k to slow .......at what speed . It may be possible to get the speedo adjusted by an instrument technician .....if they still exist.
I hope the new dash fixes the lights issue for you .

Re: Brake adaptors.
Before you get to deep into this brake mod check that you can get/make the required spacers so as to centre the wheels correctly . You will need speedo drive and the correct drive washer thing .......they aint all the same . I looked at doing this mod to my 906 , bought wheels , calipers etc and in ...

Re: No spark to either cylinder
Have a good look at the kill switch and wires . Not sure about the 907 but the 906 kill switch cuts the power to the ecu . Probly the quickest way would be just to check you have power to the ecu. If you dont, try bridging out the kill switch where it joins the main harness.

Are you sure its reading slow? they make lots of noise and look like they are doing 100mph parked but they dont actually go that fast
If none of the dash lights work , 1st thing I would do is to check the plug at the back of the dash.

Re: 1988 Paso Oil Consumption
A quart every 250 miles works out to be about 20:1 fuel to oil ratio........and it doesnt smoke ? Dont spose there is a #ucking great pool of oil under the bike ? Paso cylinders are plated and as far as I know they dont give trouble .......and if that was the problem it would smoke , foul plugs and ...

Re: HELP NEEDED Regulator Wires Brown & Pink
Also if voltage to the ecu drops below about 9v the unit wont work ......properly. It only takes one dodgy connection in the circuit from battery to coil , and it does a couple of laps round the bike gettin there. The coils are 0.3ohm , I thought it was a misprint but they are def 0.3ohm....not 3.0,...

Re: is this the correct stator for a 907?
Not sure , but possibly a 906 .....they had 3 wires . Iircc the thing one does when the 906 gives charging problems is to chop off the 3rd wire and fit a later model aftermarket reg . So , I would hit it with an ohms meter and if it measures out ok fit it up .

Re: Oils ain't oils?
I have an 850t , forgot about the separate oil there , and being as how it aint all that hi performance I used xld valvoline in the motor and synth in the gearbox /axle . This Guzzi doesnt have an oil filter so the oil got changed hot at about 2000km (had a r80 too  ). Aye Nick , I like the Pe...
