The Weber was a smog carb and should never have been used. DCNF carbs were fitted to a lot of cars (ie V12 Ferrari's ) none of which could be called smog cars or engines . In their day ( pre fuel injection ) the Weber was the "go to " carb for hi performance engines . How did you come to ...

You shouldnt need thread seal as the nipple should seal on the point of the nipple and the seat of the nipple hole in the caliper . Make sure the point of the nipple is in good nick ( poss buy a new nipple ) fit to caliper and tighten down , now give the end of the nipple a smack with a hammer, the ...

They dont like running without the air box , even taking the cover off will upset it .Its not unusual to fuel coming out of the aux venturi ( the tube thing in the middle of the carb barrel ) when there are a few revs on board , like off the idle circuit and into mid - full throttle . Waaaaay back a while ago I sent one of my sliders to someone to 3D scan/ print , so it has been done here ( I couldnt remember who last time this came up ..... still cant ) . I can only find reference to it when I searched , not who or where .

Check the voltage to the ignition ecu whilst cranking .It will start playing up at about 9v . Check also the wiring diagram and see that the ecu and the coils are fed differently . The 39's would be better than the 41's.
There are heaps of carb balancing tools and as many pro's , con's and opinions . I like the mercury Colom ones but they are hard to find now .

Yeah thats only running on one pot untill you touch the throttle . Have you sync'd the carb ( idle bypass screws ) and that is something Mikes Dad wouldnt have been able to do without the engine running.
