16" slicks in the 130/60 16 size

hello everyone, pardon me for boring you with my obsession, but i happened to see a couple of 80's vintage 130/60 16 michelin race slicks available. do y'all think they would be an acceptable front tire for my paso for normal norcal canyon carving? would they be unsafe? i'm fairly sure they were pro...

Re: I have a 1990 750 sport, what are the ods?Now lets get tires

i wonder if choosing a 150/80 16 rear tire rather than a 180/60 16 would be the best choice. i believe a 180/60 aspect ratio would give a smaller tire height and thus a reduced overall diameter. 150/80 yields a 120 height, whereas a 180/60 yields a 108 height. this seems like a big difference in val...

Re: Metzler ME 1

After some lengthty research I think the current solution for my Paso's tire dilemma are the folowing choices from what seems to actually be available out there as we approach year 2010: Front: Metzler Lasertec 120/80 VB16 60V Rear: Metzler Lasertec 150/80 VB16 71V What do ya'll think? Seems to me l...

Re: Which Tires Fit?

Hey Ethan, As soon as I'm back in town from Thankgiving holiday, let's meet up. who knows, we may even get along. A ride in west Marin is certainly in order for me and my Paso. Had a great blast on Redwood road/ East Bay today- beautiful weather! What tires you got on your beast? Best, Randy.

Re: Which Tires Fit?

Ha, ha Charlie! Welcome to the developing story. The tires listed in the preceding posts may presents challenges in fitment, so move forward with caution or conduct more research. But, if you've got any miles left in those present tires of yours, we should meet. I'm in SF Bay area and would like to ...

Re: 16" Tyres > News for Germany...

Thanks for the reply, i really appreciate it. well the Dunlop chart says the D206 170/70 R16 has a suggested rim width of 4.5", a 25.4" total diameter and 6.4" in total width. It's a radial with H speed rating as well. It seems like a fitter if I measured my clearances correctly today...

Re: Difficult to find parts

"small black cap on left switch pod (next to the flash to pass button)" that part is also a moto guzzi part number. i believe the same switch gear was used for several years on LeManns. I just picked one up from my parts counter gal for US$1 at Munroe Motors SF, Ducati/Moto Guzzi. Best, Ra...

Re: 16" Tyres > News for Germany...

Hello everyone, I am a new 750 paso owner. I would like to know if anyone has fit the dunlop 170/70 ZR16 to the rear wheel. it seems that would be a fit with the amount of clearance available to the chain and to the swing arm. Bridgestone also makes a tire in this size for the rear, but it is a bias...

Re: 16" tires

Thank you all for the assistance identifying the bike. The ebay info is exciting news. Lawrence (Ducati mech. from Munroe Motors SF USA) sold it to an unknown Tongan here in the SF Bay area, who move back to the island and sold the Paso to younger brother George , who sold to me, because he too is r...
