Re: Dellorto or Mikuni TM?
A difference in air jet circuitry between various Mikuni TM flatslide carbs came to my attention. It means that some have a closer relationship to jetting patterns in common with Mikuni CV38 and Keihin FCR39/41 carbs, and some were light years away. As I was pondering this, a forum member pmed me wi...

Re: Dellorto or Mikuni TM?
I have a 750 Sport with 36mm dellortos. It runs well at at throttle openings, so the dellortos will work very well. However, I also have an RD400 with flatslide mikuni carbs and a 100/7 BMW with flatslide mikuni carbs. The flatslides made a dramatic improvement in the way that both run. That said, ...

Dellorto or Mikuni TM?
While I have been working on Mikuni BDST 38 CV carbs, I have also been interested in both Dellorto and Mikuni TM flatslide carbs on short manifolds. I have dealt with the Mikunis before but not the Dellorts. Price wise the Mikunis are available for $179 each. Those of you with experience with either...

I've written that number down.
Nice Paso alright.
I'll be in Perth in Sept.
Thanks for the cable too. I'm obesessing about modifying a bike I haven't got yet. Got the fever bad.

Re: Mikuni experts, your answers please...
Hey Lane. Great job, obviously the aircooled motor is easier to do it with. I just split two pairs of Mikunis so I can run them on short manifolds. Im using the carbs with the throttle cam to make it easier. There is a step and lip in the transition from the carb mouth to carb throat due t...

Re: not all BATTERIES are the same !!!
Higgy Tell us more about the Litnium batteries and older Ducati charging systems. My experience of Lithium batteries is that you need to think of them as 13Volt batteries. I had to remove the electric fuel pump from a bike with the 300Watt alternator in order to adequately charge a lithium battery (...

Re: 907 bursts into flames.
I had no luck. Then financial situation changed and I had to put off the search. Then that changed again. I realized that I prefer the P750 which makes it harder here. Due to a strange turn of events I could be buying an old LS E750 as a long term project! Its on the other side of the country in Per...

Re: 907 bursts into flames.
I knew a guy who had a brand new 907. He was sitting looking at and admiring it when he noticed smoke coming out of the bodywork. He disconnected the battery and stripped the bodywork to find that the loom was burning. The loom was too tight and wires were shorting on the frame. Luckily there was no...

Re: Clutch Relief!
Thats true about different shaped slots in different baskets. The rubber gasket had metal spacers in the bolt holes. It did come with steel cover in '96/97 (cant remember)and gave more clearance. The alloy cover is thicker where the bolts seat in the holes. Alloy baskets and plates are quiet, for aw...

Thanks.
I like the Ignitech. Set your own map for high compression pistons and fuel availability. Cool.
The water cooled 906 seems a good candidate for a high comp/big bore kit.

Yes, how do they work with the Weber? I have no experience with that combination. I was curious due to the Weber's float chamber.

Re: Mikuni experts, your answers please...
Was that electric or vacuum pumps? If the hex vacuum pump works with the Weber that would be cool. I tried the little Mikuni pump on my modified Monster but it did not flow enough as G said. It struggled to refill the float bowls and accelerator pump with "heavy use". I serviced the hex pu...

Re: Mikuni experts, your answers please...
Im not sure if a vacuum pulse pump works with a Weber carbs float chamber, but it works with the small individual float bowls on moto specific carbs.
