Re: Starter Clutch for 907ie
Thanks 900. I will check my Battery. It is a year old and I keep it on a battery tender, but the starter has consistently gotten more and more grabby over time. I am not saying the battery in not at least partial culprip, but I think I will look into the Sprage as well. I may also install one of the...

Starter Clutch for 907ie
Hi Group. I need some advice. My starter has become very jerky lately. Its like it gets stuck and and has to start over. It used to do it once a week or so, but lately it will do it two or three times before it starts. I let a bike shop look at it and he said the starter clutch is going out. What is...
Bike Pics
Here are some pics of my 907ie, as long as I am posting some pics. I am replacing the stock cans soon. I will post some of them as soon as I get them finished. Whiff http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/profmed/media/GucciSeat1471929937_zps9c71d0b1.jpg.html?sort=3&o=11 http://s1283.photobucket.com/...

Re: Happy Feet and Knees Too
They sure made a difference for me. I actually enjoy longer rides since putting on these footrests http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/profmed/media/2013-09-19_10-59-53_859_zps469b922c.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 http://s1283.photobucket.com/user/profmed/media/2013-09-19_10-59-45_580_zpsfcce80f2.jpg.html?...

Re: Happy Feet and Knees Too
I cannot figure out how to post pics here. I will work on it on my days off this week. I know there are instructions on here. I will force myself to sit down and r. ead them.

Re: went for a ride today....with issues.
I have had that happen twice on two other bikes and both times it was water in the gas tank. Its a lot of trouble, but if you drained, dried and cleaned your tank, I bet you fixed it.

Re: Happy Feet and Knees Too
I'll try it next time I am tinkering around. I thought my feet were too big to move them forward any. It might make my knees happier though. I will try it.

Happy Feet and Knees Too
Yesterday, after 3 months, I finally got my Vario Footrest Adjustments from Twisted Throttle. As per my usual, everything that could go wrong, went wrong. One of the mounting pin retaining clips was rusted beyond re-use, so I had to start off by making a trip to Lowes. Both pins had developed burrs ...

Re: First Ride
I have decided to not fix my clutch until its broke. I have learned to ride it without slipping the clutch. If I go a little easy starting off, I have enough power to accelerate easily to any speed that any sane person could want. As far as freeway cruising goes, in 5th gear I am turning 4000 rpm. O...

Re: First Ride
After about 230 miles on my long sitting 1992 907ie, my clutch has quieted down on its own. It is now no more noisy than my old Monster used to be. The motor has loosened up nicely. If you do not watch the speedo when passing someone, you can easily top 100 mph and miss your freeway exit. Not to men...

Re: First Ride
I solved my noisy clutch problem. I put about 60 miles of freeway çruising this morning on my Sunday morning Taco Cruise. I took my Mp3 player and headphone amplifier and turned it up really loud. I could not hear my clutch at all. But I turned it off when I turned into my neighborhood and the clutc...

First Ride
I just returned from my first Paso ride. What a bike. Excellent Performance. I used to have a big Monster, but power, acceleration and handling make my old monster seem like a slug. A very impressive machine in most all respects. The only two faults are the rear brake (pretty ineffective, but so was...

Re: Adjustable footrests.
Ok. Thanks all for the advice. I now have Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires. The shop is still twittering with the rear brake. My monster had a weak rear brake, but the 907 has a really poor rear brake. I should get it back next week. They say they can make it work better. Any suggestions on rear brakes? ...

Re: Adjustable footrests.
Good idea about the brake lines. He said the front ones are not new, but soft. But if they are all the same age, it will not be hard as senility approaches to remember which are what age. He said it looks like it has had some work done not too many miles ago. The timing belts look good. He hasn't go...

Re: Adjustable footrests.
Thanks for the links. The Twisted Throttle are the nicest ones, and are about $200. The Ducati Designs are nice also. I guess if I want to get my knees out of my armpits I will have to cough up some bucks or make some myself which I don't have time to do. Both are very well designed and even retain ...
