Re: replacing & tensioning belts - food for thought - maybe

Nice writeup, covered everything. I have only one thing to add. I use sonic tensioning on my 4v bikes. I tried several methods, none successful (simple things like fluorescent lights cause false readings with some programs). Tried several free iPhone apps, none worked well. Then, I bought TE Tuner f...

Re: Ignitech Sparker TCIP4 ignition?

Since you've bumped this up to the top, I'll add in an update. Ignitech boxes are crap. Clever, surprisingly adjustable, great user interface, but crap. The internet is now full of people complaining of how these boxes die. Usually it's from using non-resistor style spark plugs, or mounting the Igni...

Re: 750 paseo dead

Thanks!, is there a easy way to open just the back of the starter and check/replace the brushes! Yes,it was discussed in this thread: http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4870 Personally, I'd pull the starter, and have it gone thru completely. It'll only take an hour of your time, p...

Re: 750 paseo dead

Hello again, after 1 month I had some time to work on the bike and found out that is the electric starter motor that does not work. Now the question are, considering never did before...how difficult is to replace the electric starter motor? I saw you can get some on ebay that will fit the Paso for ...

Understood! Posting while intoxicated is never pretty. My condolences.

I was watching your YouTube videos the other day, Higgy. They aren't bad, if you play them at 2x!

Re: Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do

Hey lads, is this a reunion of old Pooh-Bahs? Why, yes, yes it is! Jake, I'm home now, for another month. Let me know if you want to go for a ride, or if you need a hand with the Paso. I did a little blasting around on the Paso yesterday, new tires definitely seem more lively than the ancient Miche...

Re: Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do

Hey fellas! Yeah, it was running horribly last year, but I plan to make up for that this year. I'm working on the carb swap right now, and I'll probably need a pair of those Goldens before too much longer as well. Mike, did you get them right from the manufacturer, or did somebody local-ish get the...

Re: Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do

Hi Jake, welcome back! I just got the Goldentyres mounted up a few days ago, did take a couple short rides; not enough seat time to voice an opinion. I did test the rubber with my durometer gauge and was surprised at how soft they were. My initial impression is that people are going to be complainin...

Re: Axle clamps?

yes, the groove matters. The swingarm has the same and the excenter sits in it. G. Right, that's why I'm wondering why Ducati shows the same part number, 037040225, for both sides? Puzzling. Unless the replacement ones have a groove on each side. Was just wondering if anyone knew. Speedmade, thanks...

Axle clamps?

Anyone have one they'd like to sell? Found a crack on the left side one on our Paso. (called "U Bolt" on the microfiche). Here is the strange part. Microfiche shows both sides having the same part number. But they are clearly different. A minor difference, you can see how one side has a ma...

Re: Oil Pressure light

Great, thanks. Glad to help, hope it works for you. Please note I edited my post, you need to check the ground before condemning the sensor. My original post ignored checking the ground, as later Ducatis have the sender threaded directly into the case, ground is never an issue. But with the Paso, t...

Re: Oil Pressure light

Hey all, My Paso's oil pressure light isn't working. I assume it should come on at startup and then go out, and come on if the oil pressure drops. The bulb is good. Anything else to check besides the sender? Ciao Start by verifying there is a ground at the sender itself. It grounds thru the right s...
