Re: mirror question

Really, very many automotive mirrors increase the visual shield. It's enough you buy an automotive mirror bigger than the Paso one and make it cut by a glassworker. So, you can see something more of your body. persempre, Yes, except that I wasn't interested in seeing more; I was interested in repla...

Re: mirror question

Guys, I wanted to find a convex mirror; otherwise the two sides wouldn't match. I finally found an old Yamaha mirror that fit and was convex. It was in a metal lollipop mirror assembly, so I ground the edge off, around the mirror, to get the mirror out and attached the mirror to the 907ie mirror ass...

mirror question

Guys, The glass mirror fell out of my mirror assembly on one of my 907ies yesterday. No problem with the mirror assembly; just a matter of adhesive giving up the ghost. I figured, "No big deal, I'll just have a mirror/glass place cut me another mirror and mount it myself." But then my Duca...

Re: Buying advice?

Mostly what I would like to ask for is advice on what to look for in buying a paso so that hopefully I dont get ripped off or buy a lemon due to sheer ignorance. Shatten, I've been following all the 907s sold on e-bay for the past three years. Almost all sold for between 4 and 5 thousand dollars, d...

Re: 907 IE Exhaust

No, aftermarket cans dont make any more power, but that CHIP (to added to them) makes that "more power", if its suitable and bikes injection system is tuned well.... Power comes from MORE fuel(and surely more air), better flow characters(engine "breathing").... Its little funny,...

Re: 907 IE Exhaust

I have loud pipes on my 907 now and I found the original factory pipes on Ebay and bought them cheap. Can I just put them on without any jetting or changes.Thanks... macwig, Probably not. Aftermarket cans are usually, (but not always!), installed with a dedicated EPROM chip that changes EFI paramete...

Re: First ride of the season

Where are you located? I hear a rumor there is a big bike night at Hooters in New Castle where there has never been even one red headed Italian girl. Planning an invasion very soon. Got any interest? higgy, I live in Philly, but I keep my bikes in a garage in Hopewell, NJ. I'm interested. Let me kn...

First ride of the season

Guys, Today it was in the 60ties here in the Northeast United States. The first real riding day of the season. With the warm weather comes that annual ritual of uncovering and firing up the bikes, dusting off the helmet, and anxiously seeing if my leathers still fit after a winter of eating too much...

Re: Alternate wheels for the 907s

There`s a thread on top of every forum. paso, Yes, I read the thread. It says that in order to post pics, members need a remote photo site, (like photobucket). I don't have a remote photo site. I think my links are adequate, but let me try what you said: http://gallery.ducatispot.com/image_db/mrinf...

Re: Alternate wheels for the 907s

Pics or it has not happened! Tamburinifan, Try not to be a tool. Are you taking issue with my claim that I have 3 spoke Marchesini Mags, or my description of the color as, "Anthracite?" I know I have the rims, 'cause I have the receipt for them, and I ride on them. Perhaps I described the...

Re: Alternate wheels for the 907s

b Thinking of putting a different set of wheels on my 1992 907, any suggestions? Photos would be great and very much appreciated! cyber, I have 3 spoke Anthracite Marchesini Mags on one of my 907ies. They ain't cheap, but they're beautiful, much lighter than the OEM Brembos, and much easier to keep ...

Re: 93 907 for sale on ebay

The guy is asking 6k. Gary, IMO, the seller of this bike is trying to rip somebody off. As I recall, the bike has around 14,000 miles, (not, "low," by any measure), stock ECU, (no EPROM chip), stock cans, stock seat, stock air filter, and some not-so-minor scratches! The only thing right ...

Re: 907IE Dzus fasteners

I don't think the Dzus fastners will hold the bodywork tight enough and in position accurately. Jon, One of my 907ies has Dzus fasteners. (Guys, I bought it with the fasteners already on it, so I can't offer any help about how to do the coversion, sorry!) I brought it to the Desmo picnic a couple o...

Re: Question on what red color to use and belt changing

gps, A whole repaint is not as big of a deal, (especially if you're not concerned with exactly matching the original 907 Ducati red, which is a very different, and IMHO, a much nicer, color than the modern Ducati red), but if you're trying to match existing paint, this is much trickier. Many people ...

Re: Paso 907ie key blanks

At least the early '91s. [Ducati] used the remaining stock of 906 locks. gldman, I thought all the '91s had a different key than the '92 and '93 907ies, (mine definately does, and http://www.keys4classics.com shows a different blank for '91), but I'm not surprised to learn that Ducati changed key b...
