Re: Bad Bearing

You'll need to remove the tensioner/bearing assembly and then pull/drive the bearing free. Bevel Heaven stocks them. That bearing is knackered!

No sure why nobody just simply replied that yes, that's what you have to do. Easy.

My 1988 Paso is set up as per your first photo; fork leg aligned with top of triple clamp.

Nice. Can't wait to learn if it works as hoped. Love the idea of getting away from the well nuts and having true quick-turn fasteners.

Re: Auxillary Venturis

Late update, but fattened up the fuel/air mixture, out 2 full turns from 1-1/4 and much, much better. Idle is a little fluffy (is that a legit description?) but the pronounced off-idle hesitation seems gone. I just wish you could carry out carb adjustments without having to remove the fairing and ta...

Re: Auxillary Venturis

Higgy, the auxiliary venturis I used (as per the ebay link) are not the tall ones, but another Paso rider had used them successfully so I figured I'd try them. I should note that I have no point of comparison with the originals as one was broken when I got my bike and started the process of fitting ...

I got my keys from http://keys4classics.com/ in Australia. Perfect match/fit. I only had to provide photos, Stuart did the rest, $54 for all three, plus shipping. Great service, highly recommended.

Re: Weber emulsion tubes

The altitude chart is nice information to have, good find, I hadn't seen that before. Anyone else interested in understanding emulsion tubes should follow the link, it's a really coherent discussion of what for me has always been an incoherent/mysteryious subject.

Nice Fordson tractor. Like the Paso, considered somewhat revolutionary when introduced.

Re: Shinko tyres again available

The Paso's handling is quite excellent. The riding position puts you forward, making it easy to put even more weight over the front wheel if you want/need to. And it really will pull hard through the turns. I can take a given turn almost as fast on my Laverda RGS, but it takes a lot more determinati...
