Re: Restarting the original

These guys are my go-to for fuel line, crimp electrical fittings, and nuts and bolts. Their catalog is awesome.

Re: Restarting the original

Might actually be 7.5mm. I seem to remember 8mm fitting loose and 7mm fitting tight. I'll see if I can dig out the leftover hose and check, bike's all together and as we know that's not an easy access item.

Re: Restarting the original

I take that back; faulty memory. The right side port is threaded but plugged on mine.

Re: Restarting the original

Re Re the vacuum ports ... on my '88 Paso there's no port at the rear as on yours and where you have a port on the right side on mine there's a nascent hole but it isn't drilled through or threaded. Was that a California emissions thing? And if so, what do the ports feed/pull?

Re: Akront/Marvic wheels

Nice job! You're a nut! Love "my wife doesn't know the login to this forum"! I haven't done anything with my Paso in several months outside of hooking up the battery tender and checking tire pressures. Cold, wet, not exactly riding weather.

Re: Happy New Year! Now go ride!

I missed my window. It suddenly turned gray and wet, and now it's snowing heavily. It's quite lovely, actually, and an opportunity to test/appreciate the 2004 BMW 325xi 5-speed wagon I recently resuscitated. It's fabulous in the snow.

Happy New Year! Now go ride!

It's so quiet around here! Be that as it may, Happy New Year to all you Paso heads! Wasn't warm enough to ride today (okay, I'm a wimp, it was 33 F), but supposed to be a few good days coming. The Paso's on the battery tender and my new hip is healing fast, so with any luck I'll get at least a short...

Re: Bad Bearing

You'll need to remove the tensioner/bearing assembly and then pull/drive the bearing free. Bevel Heaven stocks them. That bearing is knackered!

No sure why nobody just simply replied that yes, that's what you have to do. Easy.

Nice. Can't wait to learn if it works as hoped. Love the idea of getting away from the well nuts and having true quick-turn fasteners.

Re: Auxillary Venturis

Late update, but fattened up the fuel/air mixture, out 2 full turns from 1-1/4 and much, much better. Idle is a little fluffy (is that a legit description?) but the pronounced off-idle hesitation seems gone. I just wish you could carry out carb adjustments without having to remove the fairing and ta...

Re: Auxillary Venturis

Higgy, the auxiliary venturis I used (as per the ebay link) are not the tall ones, but another Paso rider had used them successfully so I figured I'd try them. I should note that I have no point of comparison with the originals as one was broken when I got my bike and started the process of fitting ...
