Rear brake pump leaking - 750 Sport
My 750 Sport is leaking from the rear brake pump. Easily fixed with the 0664339732 replacing set. But that seems to be long gone. Same with a complete pump 066441300. My ducati dealer suggest I could try a later pump 62540041A, but they have the brake line from the side/top, not from the end as my o...

Re: Got it started but not sure why
Yes
Don't know if it had something to do with the Weber, you will never know. You have to do some Voodoo rituals every spring to wake them up.
Bikes who don't need some sort of Voodoo are usually from Japan. They have no soul.

Re: 750 Sport fuel lines routing
What is the routing for the fuel tank breather pipe?
I have the european version, in case there is a US anti-smog version with some crazy piping...

Re: 750 Sport fuel lines routing
Thanks, I will try that route. When you say make sure not to run 8mm on return, is that if you don't have the restriction jet, or even if you have the jet? I was going to replace all fuel lines with fresh 8mm fuel line. But you advice me to go 5-6mm on return line? Does this matter as long as i have...

Placement of oil temperatur sender
On my 750 Sport basket case there is an oil temp instrument with a mechanical sender unit. Where should I mount this? It's the same threads as the drain plug, but I don't think it's suppose to replace the drain plug. Since the engine was in bits I'm not sure how it was mounted before. I've also foun...

750 Sport fuel lines routing
Need some help with my 750 Sport I picked up in bits & boxes. The bike is soon to be completed, but I have a question about the fuel lines. The bike has the stock Weber. Inside the tank there is a bit of fuel hose directly from the pump to the pipe going from the top too the fuel tap. So no inte...

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
Probably, but they have the "wrong" look. And I like how my bikes look... Thats why I have four Ducatis and only one Honda... :) If I should alter how the engine looks, I would probably check how the cylinders and heads from my 750 Monster/SS spare enige would fit first, since that is a fa...

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
The air cooled cylinders have large cooling fins while the air & oil cylinders look almost like water cooled cylinders with short stubby cooling fins.

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
Thanks, but that is the air & oil cooled cylinders. I must have the earlier air cooled cylinders.

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
McTool, I don't think the hole engine is terminal, I have just checked the cylinders because that is the reason it was put away some years ago by a previous owner. The front cylinder has a ridge at the top, the ring grooves in the pistons are to wide so the rings is mowing up and down in the grooves...

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
Well, to answer my own question... have checked, and the SS engine block is 170mm wide, while the Sport is 150mm. So the swing arm is 20mm to narrow. So no obvious solution to this.

Re: Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
The SS has Mikunis and the small diameter swing arm axel. If there is a way to use the Sport swing arm on the SS engine, that would be worth checking out.
Then I would have a spare Sport engine block for my F1 project as well

Monster cylinders&heads on Sport engine
My 750 Sport with air-cooled cylinders are worn out, the pistons have to large ring grooves etc. The engine has run 88K km. Have been looking for an engine or parts. Yesterday I got a sweet deal on a 90-ish Monster/SS 750 engine. Oil-heating on the carbs so should be one of the later carb engines. S...
