I'm from the USA and also ride a 250 Ninja. Get rid of those old, slippery Michelins ASAP!!!! I've been using Shinkos and love them. Change your cam belts too, it's not that hard. Great buy!

Re: Running problem.
Thank you, I'll start with the coils then to the carb. Sorry for the late reply, haven't been online for awhile.

Running problem.
Ran the bike through the gears pretty hard today, and when I backed off it started running on one cylinder. When you open the throttle more, it starts running on two again with an occasional backfire through the exhaust. Changed plugs and no change. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

Re: couldn't resist
Good eye! Yes they are, I got them and the stockers when I bought the bike. They really sound great, not too loud and the bike runs much better with them on it.Brutus wrote:

Re: Sprocket carrier bearings
Thanks to all for the info! The bearings pushed right out and the new ones pushed right in. Now to try out these new Shinkos. :choo: One thing to watch out for mounting these tires, the little rubber stringy things on the bead made it leak around the rim, so I had to break the bead and trim them off...

Blue Ridge Parkway Photos
A friend and I rode the entire thing south, then turned around and rode it north to home. Great weather made for a nice week of camping and riding. The Paso stayed at home, waiting for repair. :D http://blue-ridge-parkway-info.org/ http://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/b464/mick52/ex250/022_zps90527f6...

Re: Sprocket carrier bearings
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions.
I want to get my new Shinkos mounted up and see how they work.

Re: Sprocket carrier bearings
Thanks a lot!!
When you say front side, do you mean the sprocket side?
Doing a search, I found this bearing # SKF-6005-2RS1/C3, is this correct?
No worries, no BFH used.
Thanks again for your help,
Mick

Sprocket carrier bearings
Found that my carrier bearings are shot. How does one get the bearings out? I don't want to ruin my sprocket carrier.
Thanks!
Thanks!
