Re: My shed
Morning McTool. Wow! Now that is a shed worth its weight! It’s funny when you dismantle a bike/engine/toilet etc, there is always a nut/screw/washer left over. My brother had an old husky m/c bike which he had the motor rebuilt. They gave him a box of bits they weren’t quite sure where they came fro...

Re: Headlights
The throw to the left is only in low beam. I like the idea of mounting a 7”x5” LED headlight in the plastic surround, as this would solve the problem of crap standard lights, reduce the load on the alternator and extend the life of parts supply a little in the future. It would be a little tight on t...

Re: Headlights
Hi everyone. In a fit of madness I have purchase a US import Paso 750. It was in a private collection for about 10 years, and has never been “converted” to the correct side of the road. Finding a headlight is proving to be a little difficult. Even eBay only has US or Euro headlights posted. LED tech...

Re: Brembo 65mm brake adapters
Hi. The adapters look the ducks nuts. From the photos, the friction material of the pad looks to be about central to the brake surface of the disk, so you would have to assume maximum brake force is applied to the disk. As the adaptor is from a 3D printer, I assume the material is plastic? Will the ...

Can’t edit previous post. The jet went into the feed side to the Weber.
Cheers.

Re: 906 dies after sustained throttle
Hi. I replaced the Y piece in a 750 with a brass Y I found on flea bay. The jet I screwed into the feed line side of the Y, so it was firm and not floating around. The plastic Y fell to bits when I removed it. I guess after 30 odd years it was ready to go!? If the bowl is running dry, it sounds like...

Re: A Question Strangers ........it's a mirror thing.
I think the 907 came with the plate and the mirror clipped on. In the event of an accident, or someone needing a replacement, they pop off rather than being ground off by gravel. I’m pretty sure my 750 has a couple of studs going through the fairing with nuts and washers on the inside. Pretty sure t...

Re: Brembo P4 32/32mm calipers
Hi.
There is a crowd called Powerhouse in England who put together seal kits for all sorts. I purchased a couple of sets for the 907 goldline calipers and a Triumph a few years back. Do a search on eBay for Ducati 907 brake seal and they come up. They post worldwide.
Cheers.
Nick.

Re: 907 Gold valve covers
The black covers are usually on the early P750. They early P750 had a different type of valve train. Can’t remember what changed, but that is when the gold covers started. The changed made it easier to set the gaps and what have you. The two types of covers are also interchangeable so they (the blac...

Re: Bad Bearing
Hi. The bearing should have a number stamped in the outer race. Another spot to look is the Sein Dinse parts and photo web site. They did have the bearing there when I was looking for them. They are pretty common bearing. You will need to remove the assembly and use a punch to knock it through. Once...

Re: 750 vs 906 vs 907 dash
Hey Hamish. Everything looks the same, even down to the membrane PCB. It looks like the previous owner may have even replaced the gauge at some point as it is a bit different in its mounting, so this issue may have been there a while? I just went for it and put in the water temp gauge in to see if a...

750 vs 906 vs 907 dash
Hi. Over the last few years I have come into the possession of a 906 and a P750 to share the shed with the 907. I have finally got around I starting them up and getting them all serviced and all the other good things to make them work. The 750 is now in numerous pieces, but is a runner. The one thin...

Re: Oils ain't oils?
Huh , oils may be getting more expensive ..... but so are engine parts and mechanic's labour . Motorbike engines are a bit different to cars in that they have the gearbox running in the same oil .....which "wears" out the oil faster , so service intervals need to be a bit shorter than car...
