I have the bike almost finished and done a complete service and now ready for roadworthy inspection, I was also thinking of checking the ignition timing with a timing light, I can see the sight glass with yellow marker on left side of motor...but I'm not sure how to do it... I had a good look at the tank, it all looked good, the front mount looked good as well, the weld holding the front mount together is a bit minimalistic and can understand why they do fail, so to strengthen it I removed the paint with a wirewheel (turn tank upsidedown) and applied TEROKAL-5045 a two ...

on the Pasos the front forks have air valves up top, I think approx 15 years ago I put approx 5psi air pressure and never checked them since, does anybody know if any pressure or what pressure should be put in there

just to update this post, I'm wrapped :) ,found out there is a POR distributor just down the road from me and picked up the fuel tank repair kit, 72 aussie $$, and if you follow instructions it will last a very long time, the coating goes inside the tank so no need to remove paint :mrgreen: :mrgreen...
