thanks for the link Gerhard, interesting reading... G'day Nigel, you also have a 907, did you ever connected it to a computer diagnostic machine to check the whole system and make sure that is running properly? my bike is running good, the only thing is that, its a bit rought when riding at low revs...

907...how to check ignition timing???

I have the bike almost finished and done a complete service and now ready for roadworthy inspection, I was also thinking of checking the ignition timing with a timing light, I can see the sight glass with yellow marker on left side of motor...but I'm not sure how to do it... Ken (duc906) has a good ...

thanks for the reply Frankie :thumbup: although, I think the motor switching off instead of a warning light or buzzer would be a bit extreme.....anyways!.... this is my 5 cent contribution on this forum towards the preservation of the PASO species :beer:

I had a good look at the tank, it all looked good, the front mount looked good as well, the weld holding the front mount together is a bit minimalistic and can understand why they do fail, so to strengthen it I removed the paint with a wirewheel (turn tank upsidedown) and applied TEROKAL-5045 a two ...

today was a nice winter's day, I managed to finish sealing the tank, it came up new again, Jaffa..thanks for your offer of help & congratulations on your old post, crossing the nallabor that would of been a trip to remember :thumbup: . and higgy thanks for explaining the photo posting procedure,...

Air valves top of M1R forks??

on the Pasos the front forks have air valves up top, I think :dunno: approx 15 years ago I put approx 5psi air pressure and never checked them since, does anybody know if any pressure or what pressure should be put in there :?:

just to update this post, I'm wrapped :) ,found out there is a POR distributor just down the road from me and picked up the fuel tank repair kit, 72 aussie $$, and if you follow instructions it will last a very long time, the coating goes inside the tank so no need to remove paint :mrgreen: :mrgreen...
