Re: 15 AMP Fuel Pump Relay
Eddie, when I got my 907 last year, it ran sickly, one I got it running. I replaced the the fuel screen, pump ( because it had intermittent problems. locked up evry 20 seconds or so) fuel filter, and had the injectors ultasonically cleaned. The report on the injectors was that one had 40% of the flo...

Re: 15 AMP Fuel Pump Relay
I would have to agree. There is a filter screen at the base of the fuel pump that is probably clogged. At low fuel demands it may be fine, but at higher demand may not be able to deliver. I had this very problem last year, along with a fuel pump that was shot also and would lock up intermittently. I...

Re: Dead Battery
I'm not sure of the brand or type regulator that failed, but I replaced it with an Electrosport ESR510. www.electrosport.com .All terminations were soldered, and I did not use the white wire for the charge lamp. I left it disconnected. I think I'll put in a digital volt meter at some point, somethin...

Dead Battery
I went for about a 100 mile ride last Saturday, and was almost back home when I stopped for a burger and a drink at the local Harley bar. Came out after lunch, and dead battery. Got the Harley shop next door to give me a boost and listened to all the quack quacks going on around me, but it was all i...

Re: Valve Collets
Has anyone used these guys for a valve job. I'm probably going to have guides and seals replaced on mine towards the winter.

Re: new clutch slave cylinder needed
I went a bit overkill on mine, but have a Yoyodyne. Any of the slaves will fit if they are for an air cooled clutch. 900SS, or any motor, but not the new bikes. They have have an oil cooled clutch and a different slave. Look on ebay.

Re: Timing belts..which one???
I just put belts on mine and used referance # 40021A. I got them from my local Ducati dealer in Austin.
They're probably the TB100's.

Re: Fuel pump installation
I installed my pump down as far as I could. It picks up fuel from the bottom. 1.5 " above the bottom could relate to 25 miles or so of driving. Instead of 5 + gallons of fuel, you would only have maybe 4.5 gallons of usable fuel.

Re: St2 Engine
I didn't think about all of the electrical that would need to be redone. I think I'll just go thru the 907 this winter. I am sure it needs valve guides and seals. I have 29K miles on it now, and it it uses about 1/2 quart every 1K miles. On the average, about how long will it go before it needs the ...

St2 Engine
I was wondering if an ST2 engine will bolt into a 907. I've a few on ebay that are reasonably priced compared to an overhaul of a 907 engine. Just curious

Re: BMW K1100LT fork seal vs MR-1 907IE
I'm no expert, but it's apparent those won't work. Are you sure you shouldn't have seals for a K100 BMW? I think that's a different animal altogether.
Cam belts
My cam belts are slacking up a bit and need adjustment. I noticed a thread on the rear belt, posibly about to deteriorate. The 907 parts manual says it take Part# 73710021A. I have a new set of 73740021A from a Gran Canyon. Will these work?. I was wondering if they had been superseded

Re: 906 and 907 Exhaust
I rode about 100 miles today. It's getting a little louder, but not as raspy a sthe Staintunes. Going to ride about 300 miles tomorrow with a buddy that just bought a new Concours. It should be sounding , Deeep, after this ride. He told me it cruises 80mph @ 2500 rpm. I guess I'll be seeing a lot of...
