The Paso charge system is a funny one. The 2 pink wires are AC and must be rectified. The red wire from the 'alternator' is 12v and goes to the charge circuit. I never thought the original Marzocchi rear was any good. I obtained a 750 Paso rear shock and that turned out to be far better. Adjustable preload too! A tight fit but it just about squeezed in, I made a bracket for the hydraulic adjuster and placed it where the damper control used to be.

I placed a fuel pressure regulator after the fuel pump and found the changes in air temperature affected power output the greatest. Colder weather meant higher air density & oxygen, so on that day I would increase fuel pressure to the Webber. Just running it with a simple return line to the tank...

I replaced the ignition coils with ones from an Aprilia twin, 5 ohms resistance. I did this after running the Paso at the racetrack and picking up a misfire; due to over-driving the Digiplex. Your cutting out does sound like an electrical problem.

Don't be trying to work all this out yourself, find a local suspension specialist and drop it in for service. Motorcycle suspension is difficult to work on without the right tooling.
